Has the soundtrack grown on anyone else?

First off, the "2K Sports Theme" has become incredibly annoying, heh, so I've all but turned that crap off. But as for the licensed songs that play in the menus, I'm really liking them a lot. After MVP 2004 & 2005 I was really digging sports soundtracks that weren't full of "famous" bands, and then MVP NCAA 2006 came out and had like Victory Records crap, or something similar, I forgot the label name.

But yeah, this soundtrack is pretty awesome, I've put in my own custom soundtrack too, but I gotta give kudos to 2K for for pulling together a great mix of songs for this game.

I kind of like the soundtrack. The only weird thing to me is that the only way I can get in and change anything around is if I go to the online section and sign out. Xbox Live automatically logs me in when I turn the game on, and once it does that I can't get into any of the options for adjusting the songs. Once I sign off it works again. Weird.

I think the music is horrible. A bunch of depressing emo crap. For a BASEBALL game?

Huh? I think you're talking about the MVP 2006 soundtrack, this game doesn't have any "depressing emo" songs on it.

The MVP soundtrack sucked last year. It was so annoying.

It's what I consider depressing emo/whiny "rock", it's not baseball music IMO. I really like The Show's soundtrack, it's upbeat and summertype music.

Agreed on last year's MVP soundtrack, and MVP 2004 as well. Absolutely hated both, very annoying music. The only good MVP soundtrack was the first MVP.

is there any way to have your custom soundtrack play randomly in the menus or does it have to start with the same song and go in the same order no matter what?

I thought they were playing randomly. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention to my custom sdt playlist though.

I think it always starts with the same first song, but then I think it randomizes after that. Big problem, but I think I have a solution: Record a split-second of absolutely nothing on your computer, and export that file to your Xbox. If you can make that one play first (I don't know how to put them in a specified order), then I think you will be just fine in having that split-second of no music, followed by random songs afterward.

ok thanks, i dont really mind the first song being the same every time (ive gotten used to it in college hoops) but i thought mine were playing in the same exact order every time...i'll have to check again

Yeah, unless you save your soundtrack and load it, the same song always plays first. But you can control the songs, they included a handy player if you press right on the right thumbstick, you can even press "A" from there to go to your playlist. I'm pretty sure it plays songs at random too, but sometimes it would stick to a CD of mine and play the songs off the CD at random before moving on to a new CD/Soundtrack.
