    Don't order from Take2Games

I wasn't sure which board this post belongs in, but I had to alert everyone to the shoddy customer service at the Take2Games store online.

I ordered Top Spin 2 from Take2Store about a month ago and paid extra for faster shipping. About a week after the game was released I still hadn't heard anything about whether my order had shipped or not. So, I emailed them to try to get a status update on my order and got no response. I called and got voice mail. After a week of calling and emailing every day I finally got a response saying that they were sorry for the lack of service and that my order would be canceled as per my request. 3 days later I decided to buy the game from Best Buy because I got a bunch of coupons in the mail for being a Reward Zone member. I ended up paying $20 less than Take2 was charging me online.

This all fine and dandy except today I got an email from Take2Store that my order had shipped and I should be expecting my package in the mail any day now. What the heck!!! Now I have to spend another week trying to get in touch with them and refusing shipment and disputing my charge on my credit card. This is beyond stupid! They have no sense of customer service whatsever. Avoid at all costs!!!

Luckily I pre-ordered MLB 2k6 from EB games and I won't have to deal with them for that game as well.

Your doing the right thing by refusing shipment. That way they'll get back their product and you can contest the charge with your credit card company.

As long as they credit his account when they receive the returned game. I had a similar problem with the United States Postal Service a month or two ago. You can't get good customer service at all these days. That's why I'm not ordering online anymore, unless I absolutely have no choice. My *** is walking into the store and buying direct.
