    I picked a guy off!

Haha, so it is possible! I picked off Beltran at second base. He took 3 leads off, and no one was on third base. So, fearing him swiping third, I attempted the pickoff.

Woot! Finally, a game where it's possible!

Good job. Any luck on the snap throws? BTW I routinely picked off guys on last season's MVP. What kind of pick off throw did you use this time? The low one?

      That's cool.

I think they did a really good job with having to throw over to keep the runner honest. Make the runner hit the dirt a couple of times and he is shortening his lead.

Just another really cool aspect to this game.

Yeah, one of the first things I noticed too. Nice touch.

What are your sliders? I've gotten like, 2 or 3 pickoffs in my entire career in MVP Baseball 2005.

The low one. From what I can see, the high one will NEVER pick a guy off. But, if he's taking 3 strides too long, it will shorten him up, and probably make him not steal.

So far I haven't had any passed balls with the low one. Now to start working on throwing the ball down with the Catcher Cam (which I turned off in the very beginning, but now I seemingly like it).

By the way, I once tried a pitchout, but it didn't automatically go into a Snap Throw thing. Do you have to somehow manually activate it yourself or something?

It's definitely possible in both MVP 05 and The Show as I have done it in both.

Awesome. Is this for the 360 or PS2/Xbox? BTW, slickdtc, I love your Milton Bradley quote, LOL.

Great too hear, but nothing beats throwing out a base runner in catcher cam. With all the things you have too do in order to make the right throw, truly satisfying and a loud jubilant yell follows the successful out.

I no longer own the game, but I always use Jistic's sliders if that helps any.

i think you have to push the button corresponding to the base you're throwing to. i quit trying to pitch out 'cause i get it confused with intentional walk

Alright, thanks, I'll have to check out his then. The game totally cheats though. I could throw 100 fastballs in a row, then the moment I throw an offspeed pitch the guy breaks for 2nd (MVP 05, that is).
