Spending 60 dollars on a game is not an issue for me. My job pays me well.

Regardless if I spend one dollar, or a 1000, when I purchase something...I expect it to work.

I understand a lot of testing goes into game and I accept that. A few years back when MVP had a left power glitch, I sucked it up and enjoyed the game. It still worked.

MLB is unplayable. That is unacceptable.

If you went out to eat, ordered steak, and you got a slab of raw meat...would you say "it was only 30 dollars"?

I do not want a work around, I do not want to reformat my HD. What I want is the product I paid for.

Exactly. They either need to fix it now or give me my money back and then I'll think aboutbuying it again if/when they get around to fixing it. Price doesn't matter, I don't buy something to sit and wait for it to work.

I am wondering the same thing Heelfan says, I threw way too many wild pitches in my 6 innings of play so far and I think I understand breakpoint pitching but the ball doesn't seem to go anywhere near where I want it too, most of the time. I was using Jake Peavy and not hitting the button much at all, Am I missing something or is there a problem?

The way I eliminated the WP's was by knowing which direction my pitchers ball broke and how much break they had.

For example, Oliver Perez throws a wicked slider...so if I was putting any juice on that thing... I had to aim way outside to get it in the strike zone. Any time I aimed in the strike zone, it would be a WP.

the reality is that they can't test EVERYTHING. they can't test every configuration and every file out there. something is causing this... something they didn't catch in testing, and it's got to be something big if they missed it. i'm sure their testing was pretty thorough and something that's causing widescale freezing like this without them catching it is pretty unusual.

i'm in IT so i understand this... it's difficult for a consumer to be sensitive to this because they shouldn't have this experience. unfortunately sometimes there's unique circumstances that happen. that's what's happening here. something they didn't forsee OR wasn't typical has shown up. some variable they couldn't test for is screwing things up.

whatever is making it freeze may not even be Kush's fault... i'm waiting for their response...

Take the time to view the training section on pitching. It demonstrates exactly how to pitch. On the xbox version I was lost when I first started, then I watched the training video and everything was fine after that.

Understandable -- All I'm saying is let's wait to see what the problem is. If you wouldnt do a workaround and you wouldn't install a patch, then yes, take it back.. Obviously you don't want to wait past the point where you could exchange/return it..

I like this game so far, but there is no way in hell i'm reformatting my hard drive.

You and me both. I've just got too much stuff I'm not willing to lose, especially just for one game. Every other game I have plays fine...even my other 2K sports games.

Just for the record, I am on my 2nd copy and have yet to get past the 5th inning on any game. Between my two copies, I've had about 15 freezes with about 10 of them coming on one 360 and the rest of them on my other 360.

Do you guys know you have to hit the button AGAIN when with breakpoint pitching? You hit it once and hold it, then let it go and you have to hit it again when the circular meter is tightest. does this make sense? if you don't hit it a second time, you've got no chance. this is how the accuracy is determined.

I'm freezing now as well. I played like 10 games without a freeze, but now I can't even get thru two innings.

I have no problem installing a patch that corrects a error, but like you mentioned...you have a certain time frame to return a game. That is the rub.

I mean, as is...I bought a 60 dollar coaster.

I'm freezing now as well. I played like 10 games without a freeze, but now I can't even get thru two innings.

The first time I booted up, I played two games with no problems.

I turned off the game to eat dinner. Afterwards I turned it back on to play another game and I got freeze city.

Guys It seems like the VIP is BROKEN. Most people who are having freese problems have VIP profiles saved on their HDD. If you have a VIP Profile on your HDD erase it. When ever you fire up your game it will ask you create-1 say NO, until we hear from 2k about this issue.

FYI, I haven't created a profile since I got the game & I've had NO-PROBLEM with FREEZES.

I went into the system tab and deleted the VIP off the hard drive and have been playing without one and I'm still freezing so I don't think that's the answer.

I created a VIP first thing when I got it and downloaded the rosters and played 8 games and all of them went all 9 innings with no problems, since then I've tried 8 more games and every time it has frozen by the 5th inning at latest (most of them occurred in the 1st or 3rd), so I'm at a 50/50 split right now with 8 straight freezes. I'm not gonna reformat either cuz I don't want to lose other games saves, 2k needs a patch fast, they always wind up with buggy games which sucks because I enjoy their games just too bad they always seem to have some huge glitch/bug.

Also I didn't touch my control while writing this post and you know how it goes to the demo after you don't do anything for so long, anyway even that is locking up so its not just in played games the demo freezes as well.

Didn't work for me. I deleted my VIP and still got the freeze. It makes no difference.

I actually got 2 freezes just trying to log into Xbox Live. Not even on a gameplay screen.
