One of the coolest things I have ever seen in a sports videogame. (This only happened because I havent gotten used to the baserunning controls yet, but I am glad it did)
I am the Tigers playing the White Sox. Dmitiri Young is on 1B and Chris Shelton batting. Shelton cracks a double into the gap, and there is only one out so I am not going to risk DY getting tossed out at home.
Well I am still terrible with the baserunning controls so after the ball is almost Home, DY and CS take off from 2nd and 3rd. I was pissed and tried to get them go back but was unsuccessful.
I figured DY would just slide and get tagged out. What ensued was the biggest, nastiest collision I have seen in a video baseball game. DY went barrelling in, leading with his forearm. Both he and the catcher went flailing to the ground, and DY scrambled on all fours and lunged for home plate. Meanwhile, the ball went flying all the way back to the backstop and here comes Shelton rounding third base. He just made it in time under the tag and I scored 2 runs!!!
I watched the replay about 10 times, but was really dissapointed when I tried to save the replay and discovered I could only save a "screenshot". What a bummer.
