Cnat make any substitution or pitching changes after your manager gets tossed

I noticed a issue when Joe Torre got thrown out, i wasnt able to make any pitching moves or substitutions. I would hit the Left Bumper to bring up the menu but the warm up pitchers and sub pithcers was grayed out. WTF!!!! I think this was an issue in MVP05. I had to quit and go to manage mode and sub pitchers that way. Has anyone noticed this?

I'm pretty sure it's not an "issue." It's on purpose. The idea being, if you're the manager, and you get tossed, you lose your ability to make managerial decisions (and the assistant manager or whomever takes over, as in real life, but you don't control what decisions he makes). It's supposed to be realistic. I can kind of see it, and it doesn't bother me that much (just don't get tossed if you don't like it). Perhaps it should be an optional thing that can be turned on or off.

        It's the design - that's the risk/reward of arguing a call.

You may earn a morale boost, but if you screw up you lose control. It's design - and a good one.

Yeah i kind of noticed that because i went extra innings and i hit a single with "George" Posada..(The PA announcer calles Jorge George...lol) and before I knew it Miguel Cairo was a pinch runner..Good move since Cairo has more speed..and that was when i realized that what you said was true...Good point dude..Thanks for the info...

BTW..how are you liking the game. Im starting to like it somewhat..Had a great game yesterday in my opener against the A's. Won it in extra innins 2-1. Im using "classic" hitting but I might switch back to "swing" stick.

this is a great sim game imo. almost all of the scores are realistic and it makes for a fun battle against the AI. plus, homers and such seem to be more realistic so far in that ive only hit 5 homeruns in 7 games. i like this game a lot! (besides the freezes)

and for the manager thing...they have to do this. if there was no consequence for getting tossed, everyone would just ream the umpire all the time for fun.
