here is the real fix.

1. delete profile
2. go to bathroom
3. restart xbox
4. edit player speed on 10 guys
5. take shower
6. put 360 vertical
7. reset and enjoy

Some people must have a lot of time on their hands to come up with things like this. I am lucky to find time just to play the game.

Ok, I didn't mean to offense anyone, I just want to share this, but if you guys don't want to do it, I dont give a s...., when you insert the other games, you delete the chache memory, wish is the problem that is causing the freezing, the only bad thing about it is that you have to do it every time that you are going to play. but anyway, never mind.

So your saying that everytime someone wants to play MLB2k6 they have to load it up"til it freezes" then boot up 2-3 games to the main menu and they reboot 2k6. That is just plain assanine! No thanks.

Ok, I know that we are tired of doing things to solve this problem but I fixed, here is how:

1- Delete all the MLB 2K6 files that you may have on the HDD
2- Restart the 360
3- Insert the MLB 2K6 disc then CREATE A PROFILE when prompted, (this will be your only and final Profile)
4- Start playing until get freeze.
5- Remove MLB 2K6 from the 360, turn off the 360 then restart again.
6- Place another game and let it boot until the Main Menu.
7- Repeat the step "6" 2 more times with 2 different games, again, let each game boot up to the main menu.
8- Place MLB 2K6 and start playing a game, (this time IS NOT GOING TO FREEZE) you have to FINISH the game then SAVE YOUR PROFILE BEFORE QUITTING, then you are done!
9- Play the game normal after that, the only thing that you cannot do, is create another profile, but you can do what ever you want.

Enjoy.

Or try "Freeze Fix Lite"
1: Put game back in case
2: Drive back to store
3: Give the clerk the game and reciept
4: Take back store credit slip/ cash from clerk

Or: Just wait for the official fix.

This is what works for most people including myself. I couldn't get out of the 1st inning before I tried this, but played 10 games yesterday and last night with no issues:


1- Insert the MLB 2K6 disc
2- Start playing until get freeze.
3- Remove MLB 2K6 from the 360, turn off the 360 then restart again.
4- Place another game and let it boot until the Main Menu.
5- Repeat the step "4" with 4 different games. Let each game reach main menu without skipping anything. Do not turn off power between these 4 games.
6- Place MLB 2K6 and start playing a game

It sounds whack, but it really does work. It clears the cache or some crap.

I didn't delete or reformat anything. I also had previous saves from MLB that I could still use after.

But do you have to do this every time you want to play? How long does this really take? What if you don't own four differant games?
It's ridiculous that you would even have to think of something like this to play a game you paid $60 for.

Take MLB 2K6 back to gamestop, tell them it is the worst piece of crap you've ever played and viola! No more freezing. It has worked perfectly for me!!!

Hey guys the topic creator is right, I knew this before he posted it. I may be 21 and have never had a job and still cannot get one, but I know a lot about technology/computers/HTDVS etc. When you put 3 different games into an xbox or xbox 360, it clears the memory cache.

Thanks for the Heads-Up, but this is not working for everyone. People are still having freeze problems... @ least we know a patch is being worked-on. Hopefully this patch will also address some the other things that are plaguing this game

Did you really expect a big pat on the back.

I don't think people here are to happy with having to load a game wait for freeze- load 2nd game to main menu- repeat 3-4 times then load original game so you can play. To top it all off, you have to do this every time you want to play said game.

that will be one big mother of a patch then but i sure hope they sneak a few other fixes in as well
