    Too many HR's and Zero 2B's 3B's.

Im about 5 games into gm mode and I have 28 singles and 12 HR's with the Cubs 0 2B's & 3B's. I have tired to turn down outfielder speed and speed burst, turn up baserunner speed and still nothing. Its like you can't get the ball into the gaps or corners without the AI outfielders being on top of the ball. Having no extra base hits other then HR's is a gamekiller for me.

They got it so right with the pitching interface and so wrong with the timing issues involving running and throwing. This area was the one area where the High Heat franchises excelled so well.

Hmm... Have you tried any slider sets from the Slider's forum. I using Blzer's right now in a Cubs GM mode and am getting good variety of hits. Homeruns and extra basehits.

Now like last year if you use silders you wouldnt able to do your challenges and you wont get credit. Is it like that this year?

Funny - I'm seeing too many doubles for my tastes.

I've been having problems with XB hits but when I do get them I get them in bunches. One game against the O's I had like 4 doubles in a row!

Lowering OF speed and upping base running speed should fix that. I see plenty of doubles. I use classic swing too. Maybe it's different if you are using analog stick to hit ??

I'm using classic, the comp gets extra base hits just not me.

At first I got either singles or HRs. However, the more I have played, the more I am seeing doubles and triples. Turn down CPU fielder speed. Also, turn up your baserunner speed. Also, try messing with the CPU pitcher sliders. I tunned mine down a little to get the feel for batting. Now I am turning it back up. Last thing, if you pull or push your swing, sit on the ball a little bit extra or you will always foul it out.

                  Good luck

Try sliders, Im getting better hit variety than I ever did with mvp.

are you guys aiming with the L stick ??? That might be why you are not getting a good variety.

Can you change these settings during a franchise or do you have to do a different chise?

You can change the settings anytime you want in franchise, season, or GM mode.

ahh, I totally forgot about that. Fielder speed is very important for extra base hits. Plus it counters the strong arms. Right now I have it set to "20" for human and cpu. seems really low but I really like it now. A ball off the wall in the gap should be a stand up double. And I am geting that now. Try these settings:

                              Fielder speed: 20
                              Base Running speed: 70

I'm still fine tuning a few things but I am getting it very close to how I like it.......I started off on PRO and adjusted my sliders from there but I am sure those settings will work on Rookie or Allstar.
