    breaking up the double play....

    is it possible to slide into the player covering second to break up a DP? ive seen the catcher get taken out but no one covering second base yet.....

      I believe it is impossible to break up the DP at second. It is always the same animation and I have had my guys slide into the second baseman a number of times without ever altering the throw. I liked MVPs take on it MUCH better.

        Not possible. There's collision detection only between players on the same team, with the exception of home plate collisions. I've seen at least three instances -- two in rundown situations -- where my baserunner runs RIGHT THROUGH, say, the second baseman, who then collides and crashes into with his teammate the first baseman, causing one or both to go flying.

        Silly they programmed the game that way. Ran out of time, maybe?

          Still not an excuse for crappy animations.
