I beaned a player on their team Helton in an inning and it looked intentional and next inning, 1st pitch, my dude got beaned and the Umpire was warning both teams, I dunno about you, but I thought that was sooo cool!

i thought it was cool too until i forgot i was a lefthander and my slider found the hitters knee for the second time, after warnings were issued, resulting in an ejection for buehrle (me) lol

I had Wilson Betemit and Langerhans running towards a fly ball, it went off Langerhans glove and hit Betemit in the top of the head. He then caught it off his head.

Yeah, they included this retaliation element in the game and it's very cool. However, I wish the umpire would be more forgiving in when I hit batters. I might intentionally hit a guy once (usually on a 3-0 count when I don't feel like getting burned, just so I can see the animation ), but then I'll accidentally miss a pitch and it'll hit him.

Actually, sometimes I don't even have to miss my pitch. It could be right where I want it but the freaking batter steps into it.

It's a cool idea, but in practice they seem to have taken it a little too far. You don't always see retaliation pitches, but in this game it happens every time, at least from what I have seen.

I've hit 2 guys in the games I've played...both were accidents, and neither had retaliation...I think it depends on the pitch and speed/location of it...the first was a 12-6 curve that cut too far inside, and the other was a 2 seam that went too far...

I just love the fact that you can bean a player by just letting a normal pitch get away. In past games you had to intentionally try to hit someone. I have probably hit 5 batters so far in my season and 1 was intentional and the other 4 I just missed the pitch. I felt sorry for hitting the guy, probably the same feeling a real pitcher gets when he hits someone accidentally.

Hehe It is great anger management to bean a few when they are being a pain. I was being beat by pit 4-1 and got aggervated. I actually got to hit 5 in a row in the face with a fastball b4 getting ejected...i didnt get a warning till then 4th time. One thing I think would've made it a little more realistic is if there was an injury resulting from a hit and in that case a suspension for the pitcher. Or rushing the mound:wink: Maybe in 2k7
