Game is a disaster

I can't believe some people are actually claiming that they are getting this thing to play a good game of baseball. Our standards must be slipping. Does anyone have a fix for the following:

1. Man on second...ball hit deep in the hole to second base..***nner dives back to 2nd and does not advance????????....what the hell?

2. Deep fly ball...CPU on 3rd....***nner does not tag....????

3. Single down the right field line into the corner....Juan Pierre on first...stops at 2nd???

4. Franchise mode, players only increasing by one or two points?

5. Bottom of 7th...CPU pitcher up at the plate...bats...then in the top of the 8th CPU pulls pitcher immediately...????

Basically, the CPU AI is brain dead in this game. It is not baseball....it is station to station baseball....see who can hit the first homerun....its like RBI baseball for the Nintendo.....small ball by the CPU is nonexistent.....I am actually a High Heat fan but MVP handled the baseball basics very well. By the way, these same problems were in last years game...come on, clean up the basics before adding features....the inability of the CPU to manufacture runs is like the CPU in a football game only being able to throw long or short passes with no passes in the middle....part of baseball is hitting runners over, sac flys, sac bunts etc.

Try some of the sliders. They make the game much much better. Not perfect though but 10x better.

Turn off auto baserun and auto dive back and control it yourself.

Hmmm. What difficulty level? Have you adjusted any sliders? Most of the CPU baserunning problems that you describe I have seen at the pro level and lower.

They should be sued for putting those fake pics on the back of the game. I swear World Series Baseball on the Xbox looked better than this piece of crap.

Try adjusting the sliders from Pro (which lowers arm strength). Try running aggression at 100; running speed at 100; fielder speed relatively low. I know exactly what you are getting at---at first I feared a station-to-station environment as well. But I think the right sliders make all the difference, and address several of your concerns. I am enjoying the game now.

This one kills me, though, and I have no idea how to fix it. That animation flat out sucks, and costs some runs here and there.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind could say that. Best graphics in the world? No. But to compare to WSB on Xbox, come on, if you want to maintain credibility at least keep it somewhere near planet earth.
