What am I doing wrong (pitching related)?

I throw about 1 wild pitch (some times more) an inning and I have only had the chance to use Pedro Martinez since my game freezes every game. I would think Pedro would have good command of his pitches.

When using Inside Edge, I aim to the catchers glove and every now and then the ball just goes were ever the heck it wants to. Actually, overall my pitches go anywhere but where I am aiming.

I understand the movement on pitches, but if I throw a fastball low and outside, why does it go high and inside more often than not. WIth a rookie pitcher, OK, but not with a veteran like Pedro.

I haven't played this game in a few years, but so far, I am very disappointed in 2K's effort. Their football series was outstanding (still the best game available) and the basketball game is the best out there IMO, but this baseball game is light years behind High Heat baseball that was created years ago. I am only referring to gameplay of course.

I much rather play my sports games in HD than fall back to my PS2, but I don't know how much longer I can stay with this game.

I was throwing lots of wild pitches as well. I gave up on the breaking point pitching and changed to pintpoint pitching. That way, where I aim is where the ball will go. I don't think I have thrown a wild pitch since (about 5 games ago). The option is on your VIP settings.

I think you are hitting the pitching button once for your wild pitches. I might be wrong, but if you are hitting the pitching button only once, you need to tap it twice.

Once for effectivenes, twice for location. If you hold it a bit longer on the 1st tap, you will fatigue quicker.
