    Very Expierenced Hitters (CLASSIC)

Hi.......this is for all you very expierenced hitters......i have been playing 162 game seasons for many years now and producing very real stats.......what contact and power sliders do you all suggest for classic mode.........right now i have Contact=30 Power=45..........any suggest anything different and your getting very real life-like stats thru your season........I am 20 games into mine, (no freezes)...........stats are kind of bulky right now but i go on streaks with no HR's by anyone for like 3 games......but then hit like 6 in 1 game lol.......anyone got different settings and think there great, lemme know please..............remember this is not hit-stick

Don't know how much they've changed the programming in 2K6, but last year I played 300 games with classic hitting (True Aim). Mind you, it was 2-button as well, so... Anyway, I played with Contact @ 15, Power @ 50 and Pitch Speed @ 40. I averaged .240 and 1 HR every 69 AB's with those settings, using a team of no-name scrubs. And keep in mind I struck out 480 times on pitches that would have been called balls I thought that was a cool stat they kept last year, BTW.

I played 2K6 (360 version) enough to know the pitch speed is slower this year, so I bumped that up to 70. I didn't get around to trying classic hitting, because I don't like 1-button swinging, plus I wanted to give the swing stick a try. That's about all I can contribute

I use "20" for contact and power and get good results.

I use 5 for contact and 45-50 for power.

Its too easy to make contact this year. Way too timing based. Having contact at 5 lets me miss the ball sometimes. And power at 50 makes it so that anyone is capable of hitting a HR. Not just your power hitters all the time.

My AI pitching setting are more difficult too and play a major role. I have AI pithing set at :

        Pitch speed- 80

        corner-50
        change location- 85
        change speed -85

        throw strike-30
        throw strike behind-25
        throw strike ahead-30

Even with these setting I feel like its too easy to hit, but I do strikeout atleast . I want my cursor back from all 2K baseball games prior to 2K5. IMO that is still the only true way to represent a ball actually making contact with the bat.
