What would you rate this game for the 360

At first I would of gave this game a low score but after playing it for awhile I would give it about a 8.

One point for every inning I could complete.

    In other words, a three.

Come on this game isn't this bad. I never played a 2k baseball game until this year and I must say I am pretty happy. Yes there are things like graphics and animations that could be better, but overall this is a decent game. It just takes time to getting used to.

        I wouldn't know.

It's hard to judge a game in three innings.

        (I am being serious)

I enjoyed it for a day -- no freezing, so I actually got to play it. But by day 3 the dumbed down game play (auto-fielding, and the dead-easy swing stick, and ball cursors that can't be shut off) along with the constant annoying glitches and "Johnny Damon looking like a drag queen" just got to me. I don't know: part of that is probably burn out from tweaking 2K5 well into October last year, just to get it to play a decent game of baseball. I just couldn't face doing that again this year, not with another solid video baseball option available. I'd give the game a 6... and a 4 every time the top of the Yankees order comes round.

Re: What would you rate this game for the 360

I gave the game a 6. I have had no freeze issues yet in 5 games(I didn't save a vip profile just settings and rosters) and a few HR derbies.

This game gets so many little things wrong. Hardly any of the big stars look like their real life counterparts. Rocket arms (3 yrs in a row)eg:last night playing the Mets(me) v STL, man on 3rd 1out. I hit a fly ball to staight away center, all the way to the wall, I tag up with Reyes(very good speed rating). Edmunds makes the catch, I take off. Reyes gets three steps down the line and there goes the ball on one bounce right by the P and into the awaiting C's mit, who promtly stands in front of the plate and waits for me to run home and slide right by him, as he makes no atempt what so ever to tag me. Reyes is safe, just ridiculous.

Next gen this is not. I've seen the ball go through the 2nd base bag(MVP has had this for 2 yrs now). Horrible roster update on live. No Willy Mo on the Sox, Papelbon in AAA. No update of Fenway(.406 club still there in the game).
The only reason it gets a 6 is because I see potential. It is time for Kush to go away though. I don't think they have the talent in house to bring that potential out.

I'm guessing somewhere around a 7 but, that's just a wild guess since I can't get out of the 1st inning...

So, for now it gets a

I picked an 8. I'm thoroughly enjoying the game so far. It has tons of depth which is always key for me when it comes to sports games. People can complain about players not looking right and uniforms being incorrect but as far as the game of baseball is concerned, I'm impressed. It may not be the end all realistic baseball game like HH but it still has the potential to be something fierce after tweaking.

Besides, there are many features that I'm enjoying that nobody really talks about. I'm in love with IE and the numerous details and stats that each player has. It makes researching teams much more fun IMO. The contexual sliding is nice as well. The auto-fielding sucks but the way the game is designed its nessacary. The momentum is great as well. And I love how you must judge how close you are to the wall or you'll end up giving up a inside the park HR. Plus calling off fielders on fly balls in nice or you'll smash into eachother. The pitching has already been mentioned being great and I'm still in love with it. The hitting is nice as well.

When it comes down to it, the game is fun and my interest is kept throughout the course of a game. Its easy to nitpick this game to death but once you get past all the bugs and glitches, the game is great.

If you use a memory card instead of your HD the freezing will stop.

Graphik, that's good your still enjoying man. I think I'm done with this game. The visuals are a complete letdown imo. I like IE and the pitching, but that's all I like from this game.

After putting in 20 games, I would give this game an 8.0-8.5. It plays an amazing game of baseball, there are a few things that need to be worked on, but it is nowhere nearly as bad as you ppl say, once the freeze is gone, you will love this game. I like it more than Oblivion, and thats nuts! = )

I would be loving this game if batting weren't so easy. Even with contact and power at zero I am averaging 15 runs per game.

Try messing with the CPU pitching sliders. Set AI corner in the 80's or above, change speed in the 80's or above change location in the 80's or above, AI throw strikes in the 30's etc...

Otherwise the CPU pitchers seem to throw almost every pitch somewhere over the plate and it's too easy to hit everything hard.
