    Re: Is player fatigue broken?

yea that is the fix.....most of us are starting the franchise and loading our settings, you cant do that......load your settings then save your franchise and each time you fire up your franchise dont ever load your settings and the player fatigue will start working right

Obviously with this game different people are experiencing different problems. I tried the loading of the settings after the frachise was created and saving it and that didn't work. I ad to remove the hard drive and created the franchise and then the players showed fatigue. I tried putting th ehard drive back on and the stm went back to 100 after simming a game. Pulled it back off and simmed some more and fatigue was back. ODD!

I'm about a month and a half into my GM Career and I haven't had any injuries or position players having anything other than 100% stamina. This really sucks, it doesn't ruin the game for me, but it's just really annoying.

Another issue with an area of the game that worked absolutley fine in 2k3 (I didnt play 2k4) but has totally regressed since.

The macro issue is that there is just no quality control in this game.

            Re: Is player fatigue broken?

I'm having the opposite problem. I'm about a month into the season and all my players are below 70%. I have given Chipper Jones 2 days off in the past week and his fatigue never goes up. You shouldn't have to give your star players 5 days off like pitchers, no team does that. Star players don't miss that many games each year if they are healthy. I don't think fatigue is realistic at all. If you have a Monday off most of your position players should get a huge boost in energy, I don't mean back to 100% but they should get a nice size jump. Same thing should happen if you give a guy a day off. You shouldn't have to sub your entire line-up for a couple of games, how is that realistic. I don't recall seeing many MLB teams sub there entire line-up for many games at all, it just doesn’t happen in real life. Andrew Jones has played in every game this year for <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Atlanta</st1lace></st1:City> but in the game I'm going to have to bench him because he's too tired, that is not realistic and just ********. Last year for <st1:City w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Atlanta</st1lace></st1:City>, A. Jones played in 160 games, at this pace there is no way he'll play that many in the video game. I don't understand how some of you think this is realistic.

Like some of you - the players in my Franchise were not getting fatigued at all. As a matter of fact - there were no injuries for me or any other team as well. Apparently - if when you start your Franchise you load your own settings - this will turn "off" fatigue and injuries. So in order to test this - I started 2 seperate franchies WITHOUT loading my settings initially. Once the franchise started I changed the sliders accordingly and just saved the Franchise. I simmed about 2 weeks into the season and lo and behold - injuries stared happening and players started fatiguing like they should.

Sucks that some of us have to start over...but at least we know how to fix this.

thanks for this man i was this close to returning my game cuz the fact that my batters weren't getting fatigued was getting me pissed off. thankfully i'm only 3 games into my gm career so it's not a big deal for me to start over.

yea just start over and do not load settings into ur franchise ever and the fatigue will work, i had to start mine over and im 50 games into my season and the fatigue is really awesome, love giving people days off and working the lineup like that......one thing you will realize that stinks tho is, when theres an off day, the very next day the peoples fatigue will not have changed, but the NEXT day after that will take into affect the off day, hope you understood that

Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
                    Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

I'm a Big Braves fan so i had to do this
Chipper jones AVG games last10 Years 147
Last 2 years chipper has played less than that of his AVG games 137, 109
doesn't help ur argument there at all

Andruw Jones AVG games 9 years 157
Last 2 seasons this guy has missed 8 games in one season 2 in the other so he shouldn't be to weary at all chipper on the other hand is going down hill so
u can't forget he has already in real life gotten hurt so is durabilty is a ?mark

don't play guys for the whole game and if u don't start them they still can get a at bat so inconclusion Quit Bishing i got the damn marlens i have real troubles with them

You don't even need to load your settings before your franchise. The settings are within your franchise and saved/loaded with it.

Just load your franchise, set your settings, save your franchise and that's it. Now everytime you load your franchise the settings that you juse inputed will load with the franchise. No need for a settings save.

I found this thread and started my season over and boy glad I did.I am having a blast I am only at april 17th but now I have fatigue on pitchers and my other players. And just now have had my first injury preston wilson sliding into 3rd.Plus there has been other injuries for other teams like pujols broke his wrist....and urbina got signed to the angels and kris benson traded to royals as the orioles signed kevin Brown.

Also in my roster update I did I created 25 perfect CAPS but whats cool is I just got done playing the brewers and they say DAMIAN Miller.Instead of number 26...Both the stadium announcer will say his name for that CAP.I thought was awesome,Also joe morgan and the other guy say MILLER.Ithink all the CAPS I made will say there name except for bonds cause hes not in the list.....
