Did MLB 2k6 break my 360?

Here is the deal. I got a 360 at launch and it worked fine until a few weeks ago when it broke. I sent it back to microsoft and they sent me a new one which arrived last friday. The 1st and only game ive played on the new 360 was mlb 2k6. I knew about the freezing problem when i bought it but i figured worst case i have to wait a liitle bit for the patch. Anyways ive been playing mlb without any freezes until today. It frooze once and i tried the whole "clear the cache" by holding the A button thing. A couple hours later i played another game, but this time it would freeze for a couple seconds/minutes every few innings but then it would unfreeze. While it froze, the 360 made a sound like it was trying to read the disc. Later on it froze for good so i turned it off. Next i was going to try the whole load 3 games thing, but none of my games would load. It just went to the main menu and said "open tray". It was as if no game were even in it. I tried all my games plus a few dvds and nothing worked.

I called ms support and bottom line nothing they could do. Once again i have to send my 360 in after having it for LESS THAN A WEEK! In 2 weeks i will be able to say- in the last 5 weeks, ive been without a 360 for 4 of them. Is it possible that mlb2k6 is what caused the 360 to break? Or is just because ms gave me a crap 360? I really dont know what else could have possibly caused my 360 to suddenly stop reading discs. It's a shame too i was really starting to enjoy the game

I would guess that you just have really bad luck with the 360.

I really believe MLB2K6 corrupts the cache on the 360, which can have untold results. try the steps I posted earlier to clear your 360's cache.

I tried that and the game still froze. I would try it again, but my 360 won't even register that a disc is in it. If im not mistaken, i can't clear my cache when i cant even get my game to load.

I think it does corrupt the cache because when I was playing the game last night, I wasn't getting anymore replays throughout an entire 9 inning game. That was the last straw for me, I took it back to Gamestop and they gave me full credit for it. Not wasting my time with 2K games anymore until I know their working properly. I bet this is what messed up NBA2K6 for me also. I wonder if I clear the cache and delete the VIP and saves from MLB I pray that my NBA is working again.
