    Doing a short season lab...

I'm currently simulating very short seasons in Franchise mode to see if players are able to make the Hall of Fame based on short season stats.

I haven't even started playing yet, I had been playing The Show but I wanted to give this game a rip because it has some statistical things I like. For one thing, the profile points - you can play a shortened season and still get accomplishment points for accomplishing goals. Like in an 82 game season you get an accomplishment for winning 10 games (instead of 20). I don't have time to play through the long seasons, and I don't really LIKE to simulate games. I'd rather play shorter seasons that fit my schedule, enjoy all of the offseason activity, and hopefully reap all the rewards that a hardcore simulator could.

So, what I'm doing right now is I'm going to simulate like 20 or 25 seasons into a franchise with 10 game seasons. I'm going to see if the Hall of Fame becomes extinct, because if it doesn't that'd be way cool.

I'll come back and post when I have more info.

Didn't take long to come up with the info, but it could use a bit of tweaking - that's for sure. Take a look at these 2 inductions to this franchises Hall:

    2010 - Scott Miller - Career Avg .365, 19 H, 12 R, 6 RBI, 0 HR, 0 SB
    2011 - Val Majewski - Career Avg .333, 4 H, 3 HR, 3 R, 5 RBI

Both obviously had less than 75 career AB's and still qualified for the hall, obviously out of their stellar BA's. They apparently retired quite quickly in what apparently were STELLAR careers.

Anyways, it was only 10 game seasons, but my question has definitely been answered, you can play the shortened seasons and still have players qualify for the Hall. Which is great because now I can just use the benchmarks as to whats a killer season and play more seasons!

Hope this info was interesting to someone else as well.
