One thing that really bothers me about this game.

I don't like the tapping of the button to make your runner run fast on the bases. Say that you have a guy at first and second. Unless your talented with the buttons and can hit both at the same time your going to have one runner running fast and the other jogging. I think they should get rid of this or make one button for all base runners.

I'm just now starting to get the hang of running. Just make sure you take the lead runner whenever the ball is hit. You should'nt worry about the guy(s) trailing unless a play is headed their way.

With the option off, do people automatically run at maxium speed or jogging speed? If they run max I might try it. Otherwise, with those rocket arms I cant risk guys jogging.

I turned it off but when you do that it takes the icon off the players head. Now it's harder to control your base runners. MVPs base running was perfect. I just don't get why MLB had to go and make something new. I don't hate this game but it just seems like the people that created this game know little about baseball.

This issue is quite easy to resolve:

1. TURN OFF BASERUNNER SPEED BOOST
2. TURN UP BASERUNNER SPEED TO 60

I've been getting very realistic results from this, like Jose Reyes beating out double plays and David Ortiz having to stop at first on a ball crushed off the Monster. All without mashing the A button.

But when you turn it off there is no icon above their head like an A or B. How do you control your runners without the a,b,or y above their heads. Is A still for first base. If it is the response for it is slower with the speed boost turned off.

Why don't you leave it on for the icons and crank up baserunner speed to 80 or so? That way you get the icons, the runners are running faster because of the slider and you don't have to hit A to get them to go fast.

You don't get to see the little icons, but it still works the same. If you get a single and want to direct the runner from first to third, just press A and you got a hold of him (and only him).
