    Ugghh

Well I have had a great time with this game. Really is a fun game for me, and I think 2k has a nice base to work with.

HOWEVER, I found something that kind of kills season/franchise mode for me. It appears that when the CPU teams get an injured player and place him on the DL, after they reactivate him, they don't always place him in the lineup or even on the ML roster.

For Example, early in the season the Angels lost Vlad to a hamstring pull. They placed him on the 15 day DL. A few weeks later they activated him. But he never played another game in the season, and at the end of the year was on their AAA team.

Same scenario for the A's and Jason Kendall.

I really like the game and the gameplay, I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea. But the little things like this, and the funky lineups the CPU creates definitely hampers my enjoyment of the season modes.

    Re: Ugghh

Last year, season mode was at least playable -- franchise wasn't IMO -- because you could control all teams and therefore fix many of the problems. And the problem you're describing could easily be fixed if they hadn't removed the option to control all teams in 2K6. So unless you can look beyond the many issues, I'd have to say season mode is unplaybale as well this year.

          Hey BK,
Did you pickup MLB06 yet? Give it a shot it's a good game, but I still like 2K6 a bit better when it was working for me. 2KSports is really hurting themselves this next gen big time with the issues these games are having. I hate saying this since I've supported 2K games since the days they were under the SEGA banner but I almost feel like even though EA games are always lacking something, we don't get these kind of bugs from the "Evil Empire".

Sad, Sad, day. They should just make MLB2K5:WSE BC on the 360 and I would play that.

baa7, I p#$$3d and moaned about this with SCEA last year, wrote PMs and they finally admitted they were getting requests to include full control of all CPU rosters and included it this year. KUSH had their reasons for taking this out, but I wish they would explain why.

During a franchise the game still allows you to "look" at the other teams roster, but you can't get into them. Peculiar. Now with BKs problem, as you said, it could have been fixed by him and he could have put Vlad back in the ML.

I don't know how they are going to address all the problems for next years game as it seems they have taken a major step back in the bugs department.
Dang, "next generation" coming our way. Baah!

Yup I have the show on PSP and PS2. Greatest baseball game of all time imo. Looks like I will be playing that game full time now. I might just play MLB2k6 for online and exhibition games.

It's a shame because KUSH had a nice foundation here. I'm not even going to open up my MLB2K6 after a 3rd time here. I'll continue to play MLB06 since I know that won't freeze. There are things I don't like with MLB06 that maybe some sliders can fix that. MLB2K6 had things that I really liked. Oh well. I guess I'll wait to see how the WSE turns out in the fall or if some miracle happens and 2K fixes this problem.

I hate that "Fast Play" completely eliminates all cutscenes. I will mess around with the settings this weekend. I want to try and cut my games down to 45 minutes as 1hr gets to be way too much at times when I'm really tired late at night.

are you talking about MLB06? I too noticed how long it takes to play a game in Sonys game and sometimes when its getting late on a work nite and I wanna play a game i'm like " do I really want to spend an hour on this now?"

                  LOL

One of the reasons is because the commentary is so good I dont skip past it
"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves...but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...the Dark Knight."

Complain some more and get SCEA to remove the "injuries off" thing that happens when you choose to control all teams in season play

Yes, "next-gen gaming"... pretty sad start to the 360 as far as sports games go. Madden, FIFA, 2K6... really, next-gen gaming couldn't have gotten off to a worse beginning.

I deleted everything and started from scratch when I installed the patch.

Just going to run a season mode with the Pads. Then maybe the Angels after that. Not sure yet.

Ok, good luck. Well i spent that last two days updating all the rosters and today i have a bunch of players on rosters that i haven't seen in the 2k sports making of players. I don't know what to do with these guys since they are on actual teams in the ML.
