I really like the fact that I'm able to start a franchise with 40 game seasons in this game. I feel I'll actually be able to play more than one season this year even with my limited time to play!
What I'm wondering is does it feel weird to anyone else to not play full seasons of games, or am I just weird? Since I've gotten older I've always had to simulate tons of baseball games since I just don't have the time to play that much anymore. I used to either pick one starter and pitch all of his starts for the season or play one game each series. Both of these just felt cheap as I wasn't controlling the players.
I guess the reason for my post is how other people play their franchises, are you all 162 and sim what you don't have time for or what? 162 games to me looking at a schedule loaded up in game just seems to "de-value" the game to me, as I'll never get to use any of the offseason or franchise features.
Anyways enough of my babbling, let me know how you folks play. I'd prefer input from older guys, like 25-30. How do you get the most enjoyment out of the game even while balancing a work and social life?
