No Double Switches for PS2 Players...True?

Just read the PS2 bugs and glitches thread. Early on in the thread, a few mentioned that there was no way to double switch in the game for the PS2 version. Is this a fact? Or was there something that could be done to get around this glaring omission?

Insane...and this amongst other things that are not correct, people are just overlooking? Or better yet...settling?

Na, I decided to take it back, get my $18 and got Final Fantasy 4 advance. Had some enjoyment until all the bugs showed up. Don't know if I got the $22 out of it, but oh well. Just learned never to get a Take2 sports game for next season.

Next sports game for me is probably EA NHL 2007. Not quite sure how it will be, but I know their goalies won't randomly skate into the crowd and their guys will show up for face offs.

Almost considered getting a ps2 for MLB:06 The Show.

I know alot of people hate the game and all but blatant lying that there is no double switching is just plain stupid. I just purchased the game yesterday and when I saw this post immediately went in to see if this was true. Double switch worked for me. Obviously you A: have an axe to grind and are looking to bash the game or B: did not look hard enough.

Bring in a pinch hitter for the pitcher, then find a way to actually keep that hitter in the game the next 1/2 inning. Tell me how it works out. DS only works when you're pitching, not when you're batting.

Try a fielding substution. Switch the PH to where you want him to play the field, then bring in the new pitcher.

I think you have to do it ahead of time, before the pitcher comes up top bat while he is on deck and do not pinch hit but do a DS. This will in affect keep you pinch hitter in the game. However you have to do it before the pitcher comes up to bat. Preferebly while he is on deck. The only draw back is you don't get to see where the inning ends and where to put the pitchers slot from the last batter of that inning. So if you bat around a pitcher will eventually come up to bat.

Nope doesn't work but I wouldn't call it a game killer, I have seen much worst. You can DS just not keep the pinch hitter in.

Do it ahead of time? Can't do it? Whats the deal? You started your postings expressing disdain for those who you say have an axe to grind....and thats cool...but your postings are contradictory....so whats your final Double Switch verdict? Hell yes? Or hell no?

you can, the oringal poster made it sound like you can't entirely and that is not true. The thing you can't do is when you have a position player pitching you can't move him to another fielding spot, nor can you move a fielder in to pitch. However you can DS.
