OK, so I finally bought a 360 and this game...

And I don't see how it is getting trashed. I have played 5 games and there a lot of things I like...

I love the IE. It is a stat head's dream.

Swing stick is fun and challenging right now (now being the key word)

    Pitching...We've all read it before.

Graphics are great. Going from a PS2 to a 360 is night and day.

Fielding is fun. I love the momentum although it costs me at times.

Baserunning is confusing and fun all at the same time. The speed burst makes me feel like a kid again with the button mashing.

IN GAME SAVES--You would think every game would have it.

The manager simulation...I love that they took this from MVP. It definitely will help get through a season but still have control over the players.

Some things that need work are the animations. The Show beats this by quite a bit.

Announcing will hopefully be re-written with the new crew for next year.

For now that is it. I just think that with this exclusive thing people are a little harsh. It's a game that is fun and plays a pretty good game of ball within the realm of realism with sliders (I am using BigJoe's--nice job btw). I did download the patch right away and everything has been really smooth. I do feel for the people who have issues--I went through the same thing with MLB last year.

That's all. Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

I'm about to finish up a roster, hopefully tomorrow. It's an expansion of the one put out by Commissioner. Do you have a transfer kit?

Not yet, Jim...But I ordered one from my EB games. I am anxiously awaiting your rosters.

BTW--I have started your book and loving it.

This is the first 2k baseball game that I've played more than 2 or 3 games, so it's an improvement over anything we've seen from 2k in the past I'd say. Here's what I love

Pitching-I didn't think anyone could have a "fun" pitching mode like MVP's, but I truly love the pitching mode in this game. I love the break point pitching and there's nothing quite like throwing a slider with KROD and setting the break point outside the strike zone and watching it break like crazy into the strike zone for a called strike. I'm walking 2 or 3 guys a game because the AI won't bite everytime on a high fastball. I do like the pressure pitching to a point, but it does have some issues. If I'm pitching with Maddux and a rookie comes up, he shouldn't feel any pressure at all. I'd just like to see the pressure pitching toned down a little bit

Batting-I love the swing stick and it's much more cohesive to me than hitting a button and waiting to see the swing animation. I think 2k did that on purpose to make more folks want to use the swing stick as opposed to a button. I was getting way too many hits and homers, but once I tuned human contact and CPU way down, it's at a more reasonable clip right now. I love the sound it makes when you hit a homerun. You know it's gone the second you hear that sound.

        Some of the franchise stuff
I love the trade block feature. This is something I've wanted for years. I love instantly knowing who wants someone and what they'll give instead of waiting for a period of time.

I love that there are a lot more stat categories in the league leaders screen. RISP-a stat lovers dream.

        Things I don't like

Baserunning-My God 2k, you've moved us back 10 years with the baserunning in this game. It shouldn't be a chore to run bases, but you've made it that way.

Fielding needs some work IMO, and I think it could mainly be solved by editing the zero anticipation rating. I edited a few of my players and it seems to help a lot.

From reading on the forums it seems that progressions is badly broken in years 2 and on. There's no excuse for this at all.

All in all a good game. I'd rate it about a 6/10 right now. 2k has finally made a baseball game that I'm enjoying (imagine that)
