This is not even close to the worst game ever created. It is not even the worst baseball game ever, the worst is Triple Play Baseball.

I beg to differ. Although Triple Play stunk as well.....especially near the end of it's life cycle. Early on it was better, but EA got complacent.

This game does have some good things, but the bad overwhelm the good. Things like rocket outfield arms, players diving back into a base on EVERY groundball (can't advance a guy to 3rd on a hit to the right side because said player dives back into 2nd), terrible CPU roster management, broken player progression, messed up stat tracking on walks, freezing for some users (which was corrected) etc...

Those are just some problems. It's a very sloppy effort. 2K should be ashamed.

You can probably fix some of those problems with edits, the same cannot be done with Triple Play baseball.

Very true. Editing things in games and sliders weren't even thought of during that time...in almost all games. Although I don't recall many problems (ie: bugs/glitches) with earlier versions of TP.

I'm not sticking up for TP. I thought it was decent the first few years I played it, but it was horrible for the last 2-3 years. The main reason I didn't like it wasn't bugs/glitches though. More of a arcade feeling where I was blasting 70 HR's with guys who had no business doing so. I played HH for my franchise/season during that time and was more than happy with that.

Revamping the engine like EA did when they went to MVP is kind of what I think 2K needs to do with this game. However, there are things in this game that I do really like and I'd like to see kept around.

It dont play like a baseball game should, it dont sim like a baseball game should and if the creators think it does either of those the right way they are insane. I find it a travesty that 360 owners like myself have no source for a baseball game this year and probably will have no choice but to get a ps3 for MLB the Show next year.

same here..its not the show...but good enough for me...next year if this game is not better than this...the option on the ps3 would be the show hopefully,thats if they dont start from scratch with it...anyways...

And, they will. Afterall, there probably isn't a better way of milking the video game market than "starting from scratch" from the introduction of a new console. The gamers never suspect anything, because afterall the talking heads in marketing will say "now we won't have the hardware limitations (bullcrap) we had before". Remember this about marketing: good service results in more *new* customers, good products result in less *repeat* customers.

i tried giving this game a try and played 2 innings. it is by far the worst baseball game i've ever played. RBI Baseball for Nintendo is better than this bull.

Everyone go out and get MVP 05 for ps2. With the roster updates it plays brand new. and it's gameplay is 200 times better than 2k's garbage.

what should we expect from the makers of the worst football game ever too? 2k stinks!!!

I couldn't agree with you more joeboo. Next year will be key though. who is to say that the show for ps3 wont go through the same mistakes? I hope not as I intend on getting a ps3 for playing this game and a few others.

One other thing that makes this game so realistic. I'm playing in Seattle with the roof closed and it's raining. All I can say is wow.

The key to this series is next year. If they drop the ball again then this series is going to go down the crapper.

I'm enjoying myself even tho the game is horribly flawed.

Yes...watch that most of us will be big enough fools to still go out and get the game on the day of release and then complain about how 2Ksports dropped the ball on the third consecutive year, and then Big Joe will come out with some sliders that will make the game half way legiable and there will be massive roster edits and we'll be saying the same thing over for the year after.

One thing will be different, some guys willl have a PS3 and will get the show.
