Help with Pitching plz

I am giving up massive ammounts of home runs, some times 3 or 4 in a row...is there anything i can do to cut that down? it seems like most of them are on the first pitch and i usually throw a first pitch strike and like to rely on the fastball pretty heavily. Do i neeed to get patient and throw some balls or vary my pitch selection. please someone help me out.

Dont throw any strikes. Make sure that you pitch outside the strike zone or on the edges of the strike zone to get them to chase pitches. Throw them junk. From the sounds of it, you throw them meatballs over the plate which they will crush in a heartbeat. Lastly, throw breaking balls to vary speeds and throw them off. The CPU uses Inside Edge on you to so they pretty much know what you're throwing and when you're gonna throw it. That can be why you give up so many bombs.

Mix it up more. If you do throw 1st pitch fastballs, put it on the outside corner of the plate. If you miss, don't worry about it.

I pitch backwards most of the time. I like to throw a lot of offspeed stuff early in the count and then once I get 2 strikes I use my fastball to K the CPU (high and in or high and away depending on the location of the previous pitch). Of course I'll still throw the fastball down and away on occassion to keep the CPU honest.

I also believe there is some sort of hidden confidence rating. If you give up 2 HR's in a row, your pitcher loses confidence/attributes making it easier for the CPU to mash him. At least it seems that way.....might not be the case though.

You just answered your own question you throw first pitch strikes.Don't get into any pattern,change speeds move the ball around.(in and out up and down)
