    Xbox 360 version questions

I bought a copy of this game on its opening release week and had to take it back because it kept on freezing. Now I am itching to play a 360 baseball game and would like to know if someone could answer the following questions:

    1) Did 2K Sports release a freeze-free version of the game where I can actually play nine innings without it locking up?

    2) I understand that a patch has been released for Xbox Live users. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Xbox Live. Does that mean I can't play the game or is there a fix that works for us non-XBox Live subscribers?

Thanks in advance for your help. I am a huge baseball fan who's hoping to find a way to play this title, even with the knowledge of all the bugs mentioned on this forum.

I hope this helps, I could never get past the 1st inning, I sent it to them and they sent me a new game that doesn't freeze.

Xbox 360 HDD issue with Major League Baseball 2K6

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL 2K6 TITLE UPDATE

2K Sports has finalized a solution that solves the issue found with Xbox 360 HDD systems when playing Major League Baseball 2K6. The 2K Sports QA team pinpointed and confirmed with Microsoft a cache issue with replays that users with the HDD systems may encounter. When these machines are powered down during gameplay, the cache on the HDD may become corrupted and may result in the system “freeze” issue. 2K Sports has isolated the cause and has created a Title Update to correct this issue that is now available. How do I access the Title Update? A Title Update is available on Xbox Live free via the Xbox 360 Live Silver service that comes with every Xbox 360. NOTE - You are not required to have an Xbox Live Gold account to download this Title Update. Once you are connected to Xbox Live, you will just need to insert your Major League Baseball 2K6 game into your Xbox 360 console and a prompt will come up regarding an update available for this game. You can then select “Yes, update now” and the Title Update will be applied to your console. As a precaution, we recommend that all users who use an HDD download this Title Update. * If you've received an error while downloading the update, please try rebooting and downloading again.

      Re: Xbox 360 version questions

I got the update and it did not work for me. If I send in the disc will it be any better? or would I just be getting a new copy of the game with a does-not-work-for-me patch preloaded to it?

I am on my 3rd disc right now. The first one i had lasted a day. The second one lasted just under a month. I hope this lasts just until NCAA comes out or i will have to make another stop. I get the freeze thing too. I don't know what the cause is except they rushed this game out. I hope I don't get this next year.
