Re: Is There Standard cursor hitting in MLB 2K6?
Kush removed last year's cursor hitting, true aim hitting, two-button hitting, classic pitching, effort pitching and meter pitching. I think what you're asking is on that list somewhere, and the answer of course is they removed it... along with the ability to control all teams in season mode.
I'm afraid if they decide to remove the ball and bats next year, the game may not be worth purchasing any longer.Comment

I love cursor hitting.
Why these companies ever remove an option from their games is mind-boggling.Comment

I agree, but I have also found that developers usually focus 99% of their efforts on their flagship pitcher-batter interface. They seem to ignore all other options and they are almost unplayable.Originally posted by ComfortablyLombI love cursor hitting.

no cursor hitting like in 2k4. Cursor hitting in 2k4 was the best I have seen in a baseball game.Comment

Because it’s of no concern to them, obviously. It’s not like they have to worry about which features appeal to gamers, or whether or not their game is going to sell. They know they’ll sell X number of units because: 1. It’s the only game for the 360; 2. 95% of baseball gamers will purchase the game, regardless of the product or the quality. Game developers know their customers the same as drug dealers know theirs.Originally posted by ComfortablyLombWhy these companies ever remove an option from their games is mind-boggling.Comment
