    Replay Borked

So I finally got myself a HD and I was looking forward to more replays, the looks back at action earlier in the game and the ability to use the game history.

Everything works great till about the fourth inning usually when the replays get messed up, ala 2k6 Hoops games, when the camera just swings around and captures guys standing still, or nothing at all.

After this point, all my replays are bugged, and I can't go back and use the history. Its not greyed out, but when I try and hit "A" to view the replay.. nothing happens.

Anyone else experience this, and/or find a fix. I'm assuming the answer will be to format the HD, but if thats the case, can I simply copy my season to my memory card and then copy it back... or is the season file corrupted somehow?

    Thanks All-

I feel your pain. I have the same thing happening to me. Unfortunately, I don't have a "fix" for ya. I just reformatted my HD, because I was getting the still frames during halftime of NBA2K6, and that didn't help me with the baseball glitch. But if you do have a memory card, it wouldn't hurt to give reformatting a try. At most, you end up wasting 10 minutes out of your day.

I started to have the same problem as well, let me ask you this.......did you apply the "patch" that was released a while ago?. The reason I ask is....I updated with the patch (no freeze before, and showed all the highlights) then AFTER the patch I started to get the freezing and not being able to see highlights.
What I ended up doing was clearing the cache on the harddrive, but this time when I inserted the game I DENIED the update. If you deny the update, you will be logged out of live, which to me was no big deal as I don't play mlb 2k6 online anyways.
I'm not saying this will help in your case or not,but I did have the same problems, and after doing as I stated earlier, and not accepting the update the game plays the way it did before.(take it for what it's worth lol)
      Good luck

I'll definitely try this.. But what's the routine for clearing the cache again?

And clearing the cache prompts the update again? I thought those updates, once loaded in, were in for good?

        Thanks a ton!

This was taken from "Darkspace" @ the 2k sports forums.

Go to your system blade and then select memory.
Press Y on the HD symbol, then press X,X, Left bumper, Right bumper, X, X

Once you do this process don't take the xboxlive update.. Everything in MLB 2k6 will be back to normal. Except you won't be able to sign on or play online. No biggie the online game is barebones anyway. If you need to get the new rosters just download them and repeat the same process.

Don't worry nothing will happen to your 360, when it comes to 360 autoupdate, game saves, videos, music, etc it will just delete and clear everything from your cache. As for Downloadable/payable maps from other games as COD2 just redownload them through your download history..

Like he said.....don't worry about losing anything as I did it and everything was still there (sans the updates) Again, good luck and I hope this helps.

That's just to clear the cache? I keep reading clearing the cache is as simple as holding "A" during the load-up screen. I just read that above post also on the 2k forums and was intrigued as well. I think I may try it.

I'm just worried about losing everything else... I've spent hours over the past couple of days unlocking table tennis..

Or maybe when I punch in that code I'll get 30 free lives.. that would be cool also

            Thanks Again Guys

I believe the "holding A" is for Oblivion during load up (not for sure as I don't have the game)
It's not complicated at all,as soon as you do the buttons a screen will appear saying something about "this will perform maintenence(sp) or something to that effect, click yes and you will see a progress bar (only lasts a couple of seconds) and that's it, insert the game and DO NOT accept the update.
              That should be about it.

The patch is what causes the still shots of previous highlights.

This is why I formatted my HD to get rid of the patch. I like the highlights and freezing hasn't been an issue.

When you format the hd doesn't it get rid of everything? or did you back everything up on a mc first.

It gets rid of everything. I saved all my game saves and gamer pics to my MC first.

All the arcade games were deleted, but they're tied into your XBL account. So you can just go back and download them again once you recover your XBL account. Hexic HD is not downloadable again. You have to call Microsoft and fight with them to get it back by use of a coupon code that they send to you 3-5 days later.

That's what I thought lol. HOPEFULLY just clearing the cache will work,as I've played 2 games so far and no freeze.
Knowing my luck I'd screw something up and not save everything correctly lol.
