Just Got The Game - CPU Baserunning ?

I've just got the game and actually really enjoying it - I have noticed the following in the few games i've played and was wondering if there was a fix -

CPU Baserunners seem to round the base and get run out as they try to retreat. This happened twice in my last game.

CPU seems to throw a few too many wild pitches with the bases loaded. I scored 3 runs on wild pitches in my last game with men at 3rd.

Any fixes for the above ? I have downloaded the patch and i'm using the roster from here.

I haven't found anything that could fix those problems. I've also had problems with grounders to the Shortstop and still the batter outrunning the throw.
