New disk, old freezing problem, but I found a fix

Sent the disk back to 2ksports and they send a replacement. Started by season over and once again, I could not get through a game without it freezing up.

I was really use to the zone pitching and I guess that is what it was for me. Switched to the payoff pitching and now have played three games in a row without a freeze. I don't care much for that interface, but I guess it will have to do.

yes this works! I found this yesterday when I called tech support. This fixes the freezes during cut scenes between innings.

Pretty sad when a "fix" involves disabling important features. Like buying a golf game and finding out you can't ever use the 2 iron. Seems every year 10% of every game 2K releases flat out doesn't work.

yeah it sucks but its not as bad as not having a 2 iron in a golf game. This just makes you use a different setting.

I was being generous. There are two pitching interfaces, payoff and zone. Not being able to use zone is like not being able to use half the clubs in my golf bag.

I didn't like payoff pitching. I thought the yellow circles were arcadish and annoying. So I would be stuck having to use that pitching interface, instead of the one I preferred. Zone pitching worked for me without freezing BTW. So it's good people's games aren't freezing, but that's not the cause of the freezing obviously. Weird, weird game.

Yet I used Zone no problem. So the issue is something else it would seem. Some other settings maybe. You have stadium music on for example? I never have stadium music or menu music on. Always shut those off first thing. Could be something like that.

No its the zone pitching. I play any game all the way through every time on payoff, but if I ever try zone I never get past the 5th inning. This sucks so much because payoff pitching has some bad problems with wild pitches. Zone pitching is smoother and more enjoyable to me. 2K your product quality sucks.
