MLB2K6 seems to be popping up the most on OS's "poll" of "Which Game Do You Most Regret Buying".

I wouldn't put it on my list as I wanted a 360 MLB game and this was the only option, but if there was another MLB game from anyone, MLB2K6 would definately be #1.

One positive is that Take-Two is financially in trouble. Maybe if they go under and relinquish the MLB license, we can get a better game from elsewhere (MS or anyone for that matter). I have no faith in 2K Sports in terms of an MLB game. There's no doubt in my mind that this game
will NOT improve under the current development regime (Take-Two/2K Sports/Kush). They just don't do a realistic baseball game well.

I swear I was playing a different game than many. I thought many of the animations in this game were downright awful. Some were good though, but many were terrible. Things like guys throwing through their bodies and between their legs, swing animations are still poor (although better than before), guys throwing underhanded laser beams across the diamond, running animations were awkward at times etc...

I don't know. I thought there were some nice things (although I still think IE was a crutch to those not very familiar with baseball and the nuiances in pitching/hitting), but overall, the entire package wasn't very good IMO.

Forget about 2K adding/changing anything next year. They just need to get a game that works with all the features enabled!

Oh well, I gave up after about 70 games in my season. Only reason I even played that long was that there wasn't anything else I wanted to play. Now that NCAA is out, this game won't see my console again.

I haven't played MLB2K6 in sometime. Very sad that Kush has some nice concepts, but I think that they went to the buffet looking to eat a 7 course meal, instead of eating only what their stomach can handle.

It shows how sad of a development team that KUSH has become with roster updates alone. SCEA has been impressive with their weekly updates.

I still think it's hilarious that people on here (this user is one) think this is a pro-EA site while other's think it's a pro-2K site. The discrepancy should show it's neither. It's a site that demands great games from any and all developers. Personally I think being a "development fanboy" is a rather idiotic thing to do unless one was being paid to promote said company. Way too many more important issues in the World.

No I agree, some animation is down right ugly, but some are awesome. If they can get that right next year and have more presentation and figure out the arms having cannon and never hitting the cutoff man. It can be a good game! I like the show, but I got bored of playing it, with this swing and release thing I really like that! And I love how you can move the catcher and the inside thing is really cool!

Yeah that is a really nice feature.

I like this game, it's not perfect but its playable. With some good sliders/roster edits, it plays a decent game.

1.madden is trash will always be until ea/tiburon realise they sell trash gameplay to people.

2.mlb2k has always been garbage from the start..visual concepts need to take over development and give it some of that nfl/nba 2K star treartment.


3.EXCLUSIVE licensing is killing us all,nascar,college football,mlb,nfl should be open and i hope something drastic happens so these companies get the hurt so they don't ever want exclusive deals again.


4.DEVELOPERS needs fines for releasing broken,glitchy games on the market.(yes you ea and 2k)

MLB2K6 is one of the main reasons I am buying a PS3. If the game was good or would ever be good then I could be happy with one next-gen baseball game. It looks like the game I'm going to have to play for a great next-gen baseball experience will be MLB2007 by 989 for the PS3. I have complete confidence in 989's ability to craft an outstanding baseball game for the PS3. I don't get the feeling that Kush likes baseball; they're just throwing a game together to make some money.

So thanks, Kush, if you guys were worth a damn I could pass on the PS3. I have everything I want for the 360 except for a decent baseball game.

I hear what you are saying about the Show, but keep in mind that it took them two year to make a MLB for the PS2. Just a thought! But this game has some good things and if they can fix that I will be happy.

and it shows that is one damn nice smoothly animated game..just the fielding has issues that wasn't suppossed to be there.

but mlb2k has been at it too long...and why the f___ nutts at vc/take two.

Unlike Madden, this game has alot of potential. Madden needs to completely overhaul that stale azz engine while 2K6 baseball just needs to be tweaked and properly tested. Hopefully, the dont do much in way of adding extra features, instead take the time to tweak the gameplay, add new animations and fix the bugs. The game had many, many problems but at least they are on the right track. I cant say the same for Madden.

If you think this game is on the right track, you are out of your mind. MLB 2k6 is one of the first games I bought and never played after like the first week. I tried to get into it a few months later, but it is putrid. I'd rather play World Series Baseball '98 than this crap.
