I'm with you. The reviews are going to have to be spectacular for this game to get me interested. For the first time ever I will not be buying a MLB game on the day it is released. I'll wait a few weeks to see what people think and to see how many gamin killing bugs made it in because I'm not getting burned like I did last year. 2K barely even showed an interest in fixing last years game and that is what really pissed me off. The patch they did release made it even worse for me and many others. Don't release a buggy game and then act like the problems don't exist, at least own up to it. User reviews from sites like OS are going to have to be over the top to even get me to consider buying this years game no matter how great it looks from videos.

Ya also have to realize that Kush bought themselves an extra year in claiming that the franchise is being overhauled and they will focus on certain things this year and others for MLB2k8.

So far you can definately see a big graphical change and some minor gameplay tweaks but at its core the throwing and swing animations have to be ironed out...Those are two of the very basic essentials in any baseball game...If you can't master throwing and swinging the bat properly then that just sais there is not a good foundation to build upon.

Don't be suprised if "The Show" is a no show for the Ps3...I mean I fully expect it to be in the mix but with the small number of Ps3's in homes development of a balls out Next gen Ps3 baseball game may not be financially feasible or smart to do until next year. They may end up porting the current gen game just to be on the safe side. I mean the game is due out in April...You would think that by now they would have made some sort of mention or at least shown a screenshot of the next gen game for Ps3. With less than 3 months until it hits shelves you have to think that the core game is done to include graphics, gameplay or at least enough of a game to get people excited about it...So where's it at???

Thats one of the BIG problems Ps3 is having with developers...Not as many were sold as Sony hoped so developers either want to port and develop cross platform or wait a 2nd year until the Ps3 units become more prevalent in homes. The Ps3 is tough and expensive to develop for so exclusives are going to become less the norm. Cross platform development at least assures some profit as opposed to exclusivity. Games like Halo, Resistance and GOW can go exclusive but most sports titles need multiplatforms to make the profit to cover development.
