    Weather conditions in MLB 2K7??

Does anyone know if last yrs 2K6 on the 360 had any kind of rain or snow effects? EA was implementing some cool weather conditions in MVP 05, that weren't completed due to time constraints. MLB 2K7 has the wind effects & smoke coming from players mouths in the cold. But theres been no sign or mention of any rain, rain delays or retractable roofs that close.

I just really got use to weather since the ASB series always had it.

Well, there was rain last year, wasn't there?

My concern is whether they will close retractible roof stadiums when there's a downpour.

Did MLB 2K6 really have rain? I only played the PS2 version a few times so I wouldn't know.

        Well, the Xbox version did.

I must say, though... I didn't like it. As a matter of fact, I would never settle for a game with unfair weather. It seems I just don't appreciate it. If there ever is, I end up restarting the game. Normally it's because the framerate took a hit, but in all... the game just didn't shine as much graphically as it normally should.

Was this the game that rained with the roof closed?

It must be hard to get weather right in baseball games. In MVP 05 there was supposedly rain & retractable roofs that closed, but I never saw it once in over 100 games played.

Are you referring to the original X-Box or the 360 version?

They shouldn't really bother doing weather at all unless they can get it right. But I kind of expect realistic weather from this point on since these are for next gen consoles.

I would love to see some lightning, and lightning effects like the clouds lighting up in the distance then hearing the thunder a few seconds later.
Some rain would be pretty cool also, everything from a sprinkle to a down pour and everything in between...
I'm glad they are including showing their breath in cold weather...

Lightning & thunder would be pretty cool. I think the only sports games to include that so far are Madden & Colin Mcrae Rally.

Scooter, they had that in ASB. You would have a dark cloudy day and would hear thunder in the background, might not be raining, and then it would rain. Great effect. They also had the ivy in Wrigley brown in April and it would be green by summer.

It's funny, the more I read about features a game should have, the more the ASB series is brought up. To me, that game had features and well done stuff up the wazzu, I just couldn't get hooked on the gameplay. Too bad that game is still not being made though, I loved it when we had ASB, HH, EA and others all competing.

It would only rain in seattle in mvp 05 and it would just sprinkle every time I seen it happen.

                            Dodgerblue,

You have the game? Have you tried it using the roster set by BKnight and I? Did a bunch of player attribute changes, etc. and the gameplay REALLY improved. It's still a great looking game. The graphics are just outstanding.

I have an almost up to date roster for the XBOX 360, however it's in dynasty mode using the Washington Admirals (who I traded all the Nationals players too). I guess I could finish up updating it and post it here.

                              Yea Jim,
It's amazing to me how ASB was able to fit so much into a PS2 disk!

I still play that game, it's so advanced for 05' and user friendly... I rebuild my rosters on the old teams with all the best players for each franchise...
