I wonder if he was playing it on the same TV with the same calibration settings?

I thought the game would just be a port from one next gen system to the other. Therefore it shouldn't really be any brighter. Of course, changing the brightness on the TV will fix this anyway so it's a moot point.

No, the Cubs don't have names. When you go to buy a jersey it lists the name but somewhere at the bottom it says the jersey will be shipped with number only. They also usually have names on the back of the jerseys when they sign a new player for the press conference. But they won't have names on their backs during games.

The cubs announced a few months ago that the names will be back on the home jerseys.

For a second I thought the same guy responded to himself twice (see avatars).

By the way, the PS3 version will actually have less contrast quality than that of the 360 version. I'm still wondering about framerate.

Yo MJB, just check out the PS3/Xbox360 comparisons on this special at Gamesopot. http://www.gamespot.com/features/616...atures;title;1

They show the graphical & lighting deifferences of a few different titles. You'll see that the brightness & lighting is significantly different in a few of the games. This actually makes the 360 look superior to the PS3 in certain ways.

                    Their conclusion...

We're going to give the PS3 the benefit of the doubt in this initial round since developers might need more time to figure out how to maximize performance from the Cell and the RSX. If you look at the Xbox 360's first Madden game, Madden 06, you'll notice that it doesn't offer very realistic stadium shadows, either. The trouble with buying a console at launch is that you often have to wait for the second or third generation of games for the system to fulfill its potential. The PS3 didn't beat the 360 in this first comparison, but the games do look fine for first-generation titles. The real graphics battle will likely come next year.

                      Re: New IGN preview

I earlier complained about a throwing animation and a swing animation but these last rounds of videos look pretty darn good..The thing is you can never really tell what a game will finally look or play like because when we get these videos who knows what build they are.

At this point with 2k6 being as terrible as it was all I want is a game that is playable...A full year w/o baseball has been pure hell...We need a good game back on a next gen console...I don't care who makes it or whatever but a baseball game is a must...Hopefully 2k7 will show promise...and thats all I want is for it to show promise...I'm not expecting perfection or the game to be a savior..I just want to see it move in the right direction...If it takes Brinkman another year or two to really get the game rockin then I can live with that and support 2K until they get it right...But I need me some baseball.

Agreed. I just want this game to keep me comming back day after day until next spring. 2k6 certainly did not do that.

Glad you found that, I would have never been able to link it. I just heard Mike Murphy say it on The Score radio show a few months ago after John McDonough took over as president.
