    Any minor league system?

Personally, I HATE fake, generic rookies, and I love to see young minor league players in my baseball games. I don't care if the real teams are in there, like in MVP 05, all I want is to see the REAL players, like guys who played a couple games last year as September call ups. Any word on if 40 man rosters, or something like that, is in the game.

Don't know. With all the work they're putting into this game it might be basically the same as it was last year, some real guys and some fake players.

I'll probably be cranking out a roster update soon after the game comes out. If it's not too overwhelming a thing.

The only players allowed to appear on a MLB license game are those with at least one appearance in a MLB game.

We will never see Minor Leaguers that have not seen big league action in an MLB licensed game unless the MLBPA changes their rules.

Are you kidding me. The top prospects in MVP 05 were guys who didn't even exist. I distinctly remember how sweet guys like Steve Brassard, Brad Barnes, and some Lunkin guy were, and they were completely fake.

I'd just like a minor league generic or not where I can watch my prospects before I bring them up. GO TIDES!

wrong. in the first year of a franchise, the top 100 prospects were baseball america's top 100 prospects. they just had fake names(which were editable) They had a little BA top 100 logo in their player profile. Guys like Felix hernandez, ian stewart, phillip hughes, lastings milledge, delmon young, edwin encarnacion, felix pie were definetly in there. you just had to edit the names. it would be nice if 2k would do the same.

That's all I want. I can edit the rest of the players, I just want the guys who played my Twins last year to be in the game.

So no one knows yet what the minor league features are?

I imagine this couldn't be that hard. There are as many minor league farmclubs as there are NCAA Div-1 basketball schools. I couldn't imagine the thrill of taking my Billings Mustangs through a Pioneer League season, that would be so sweet!

fake players are fine, we can edit them later.

Operation Sports: Will all 3 minor league levels be included this year?

Jason Teirstein: They are all included in that they are there. They are not playable however, and the initial roster only has AAA filled with 25 guys and a few players in AA.

                    Re: Any minor league system?

From the Q/A, my understanding is that they tried to get every player who got called up and played a game at the MLB level, into the game. They have 25 spots for AAA and a few spots for AA for each MLB team to put those players.

I do not think they have specific minor league teams, but that's just a guess. You won't be able to play with the minor league teams like in MVP.

My guess is this will function like an extra pool of players each team has to pull from when they have injuries and such.

I know MVP05 had Ryan Howard...and I hit 45Hr's with him the first year.

Anybody with player requests post them in my thread in the ROSTERS FORUM.
Don't know who will, or will not be included, but it will give me time to come up with a list to work off the first day I get the game.

I think they can get Minor League players in the game if they get the license from Minor League Baseball(PCL/International league). EA had the license in MVP 2005. If you look at the front of the case for MVP 2005 you'll notice right beside the MLB logo is the Minor League Baseball logo. With that i think EA could have accurate minor league players but there wasn't enough time. I am not sure though.

That license allowed for Minor League team names.....not individual names.

The only way a players name could appear in an MLB game would be for that player to be a member of the MLBPA. This is why only players who have played in the minors are named in MLB games.
