MLB 2k7 Hall of Fame/Classic/All-Time Teams?
Since 2k has the MLB License I would think they would be able to do great things with Hall of Fame players and Teams. I wish they would have something similar to to how Madden, but with better implementation. 2k has never been good at having classic teams in their games, I wish that they would improve this for us old head gamers. Does anybody have any info on the MLB 2k7's Legendary players or Classic/All-time Great Teams?Tags: None -

I agree, it would be a great offering, but I'm not sure 2K is that interested in classic teams or legends at the moment. You have to give them much credit for the great progress that has been made! It's like "From a cocoon to a beautiful butterfly!" I'm so stoked about 2K7, I just can't wait for this BEAUTIFUL ball-game to be released!
Having said that recently anything relating to a Classic offering of any kind has been pretty much ignored...
The limitation of space with the Xbox and PS2 could have been a factor..
I'm hoping that in the future the developers would be open to some kind of "Classic Mode"
I don't know why 2K didn't offer legends in 06' when they were offered in 05'
It would be good if they offered them in 07'.
One thing I appreciated about 06' was the first and last name database, the thing I was confused about was this great name database with hundreds of names, could only be used with the 25 Create-A-Players...
Ideally it would be so cool if things were opened up like what was offered in ASB 05'. ASB allowed us to take any player and edit everything including a new name, and that new name would be announced. You could add any scanned MLB players face to that new name.
You would have 600 plus faces to choose from to duplicate virtually any player of the past and his name would be announced...So if you were interested in creating a "Field of Dreams" league, you would have a pallet full of colors to work with..
I enjoyed building my "Field of Dreams as much as playing with and against all the greats from the history of baseball...
What was offered in Madden?

How hard would this be to implement. I mean people have been asking for classic teams in every sports game for years. These classic teams could just be slightly modified copies of current teams just you could edit them (because everybody wants about accurate rosters). There are only 30 MLB teams, I mean look at College Hoops 2k7 they have over 300 teams and Classic Teams and you can edit every one of the teams. I don't think that it takes alot of time to Copy and Paste a team.Comment

Not asking for classic roster game, just classic teams added can't be that hard. Gameplay has nothing to do with rosters. Once the teams and player models are created I don't think you have to use alot of brain power to add classic teams.Comment

I hope they don't waste one second on this stuff. 2k is plagued by some sort of need to add extras before doing everything possible to make the core product as good as it can be. Sorry.Comment

The year 1927 1946 1955 1961 1989
I pick 1955, My team The Brooklyn Dodgers...
I have a choice of the Dodgers 55' team or put together all the best players of the Dodgers franchise. I like it so far, and those that don't can ignore it cause IT'S AN OPTION!
Classic Stadiums:
I pick Ebbets Field for my home field...
Music: 1920's 1930's 1940's 1950's 1960's 1970's 1980's
I choose the 1950's music...
With all the scanned MLB players faces to choose from ( 600 + )and the ability to add new names to each edited player from the huge Name Database.
It would be like putting a puzzle together, time consuming yes but very rewarding for us fans of the rich history of the game...
Or if thats to much trouble just offer:
- Legends
- open up edit a player
- Classic Stadiums
- Classic Uniforms
- First and last Name Database
- Offer all the scanned faces in the Major Leagues
We will do the rest....
I think there is plenty of room to include this option, maybe not this year but this could be considered in the 2K8 game...
