    Gamespot SixAxiS preview

Here come the hate, but before you hate, remember its optional.

Like you said, it's optional. I probably won't touch it too much...What I liked was this:

"Before we get to the batting, it's important to note that the game arriving in March on the PS3 is nearly identical to the Xbox 360 version of the game. What this means is that the signature style animations and excellent-looking player models we saw in our previous look at the Xbox 360 game will all be in place for the PS3."

      Forget the six-axis stuff...

Expect to see more on MLB 2K7, including a look at the game's franchise mode, later this week.

Agreed... that's the bread and butter of any sports game. Along with on-field gameplay, you need franchise.

I agree. The more info, the better. I'm getting excited to play some baseball.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the sixaxis controller, but I know many are. I think the Wii controller is a better concept, but I don't even like that. The swing stick or button pressing is enough for me. I guess I prefer relaxing while playing video games instead of moving around.

All depends on the type of enviroment you're in. I bet if you had company over all the time(not saying you dont) then the Wii controller or the sixaxsis controller would bring a added sense of immersion and fun to your everyday play. I understand if a person gamed mostly by himself or online, that element of immersion is'nt there.

I see what you're saying and is why I mentioned that some might enjoy it, but I'm not one of them. Most of the people I have over don't play video games so it's not really even an option. Even my friends that do game, don't come over to game. We're more likely to go out somewhere, play poker, watch a sporting event etc...

When I play, I like to sit down and relax. Between working long hours and working out everyday, I like to kick back in the recliner when I get a chance to play and just relax. I guess the new fangled controllers aren't for me.

I dont really care for them ethier but I would like to get a Wii strickly for my company who are into games. I cant see myself buying a single player game and sitting there flexing by my lonesome. Its the multiplayer games that would bring enjoyment to those who stop by.
