    New to this franchise

I'm new to the 2k series of baseball games and am a little confused about the various titles. What's "The Show" and how is it different from 2k7? When are they going to be released? Thanks for any info.

    Re: New to this franchise

I will try my best to help you out:

MLB 07 - The Show is made by 989 sports whioch is a Sony owned companny. As such - you can only play the Show ONLY on the Playstation 2, Playstaion 3 or PSP. It is a very very good simulation of baseball. If you own either of these systems - it is worth a purchase or rental at the least. The PSP and PS2 versions release in late February. The PS3 version drops in April.

MLB2k7 - made by 2k sports and is available on all systems. A direct decendent of the classic World Series franchise on the Sega systems - the franchise has hit some hard times. last years version was full not very good and did not have the look of next gen. This years version has definitely taken LARGE strides in the visuals and the old producer of MVP is at the helm so we have high expectations that the gameplay will catch up as well. This game is aailable on ALL sytems. All versions release on March 5th.

    Does that help?

The Show is made by SCEA. It's no longer 989, but the same guys. MLB 2k7 is made by Kush games not 2k.
      NFL: Tennessee Titans
      MLB: Cincinnati Reds

True, but I will say one thing the Show was great for the PS2 so it better be great for the PS3. 2k7 has no where to go but up!

What the makes the Show such a good simulation? Realistic pitch counts? Walks?

No, but it is close at least the closer out there. We shall see if 2k7 can step up to the plate and bring respect to this franchise. The bottom line no one knows what game will be better, but the Show has a good record and 2k7 is finally looking to be going in the right direction. In about 2 months we should know what game is the superior!
