Re: PS3 or 360
Don't listen to people saying superior graphics on one system from another. They're basically the same thing. One question to ask your self is your familarity with the controller. Do you prefer one from the other?Comment

Re: PS3 or 360
Please Note Exhibit A...An excerpt from IGN's "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood":
3. Other Differences Between the PS3 and 360
The 360 version simply looks better. The colors pop. The animations, at this point, run smoother. So much for spending $600.
To top it off, while full 30-man online leagues will be available on the 360, right now the PS3 plan is for up to 12-man leagues (although the team is pushing hard to get 30-man teams in the PS3 version as well, but it might be too much to ask).
What do you get if you're a PS3 owner? You get the ability to swing your bat by pushing the controller forward in a motion like you're sliding the soup back to the waiter because you just found a fly in your minestrone. First swing I took with the PS3 controller, I hit a homerun. Does that mean it's too easy? We'll wait and see, but something like this, in my opinion, would be better off left to the homerun derby. If you're preaching authenticity, it seems contradictory to then all of a sudden tell people that they have hold the controller flat out in front of their body then push it forward to swing. At least when you're playing Wii Sports, you're swinging the controller like a bat. Here, something about the experience just seems awkward. You can keep the soup.Last edited by Alburt Poohole; 02-17-2007, 10:45 AM.Comment

Re: PS3 or 360
Believe it or not, I am actually getting both versions. I'm getting the 360 for online play with my brother and the PS3 version because I like the controller better and play that a bunch more than my 360 right now. If one is considerbly better than the other, I will trade the other one in. I have a bunch of credit at my EB so it's not like I am taking physical money out of my pocket to have both. Once the Show drops, I will probably have a game for each system.Formerly Favre4vrComment

Re: PS3 or 360
Do you play online? DO you want to play aleague online? THe 360 will most likely have more people online because there are more people with 360's and their are a lot of people who will be buying the show instead of this game.
I don't know if the graphics difference is true. You should wait to see the reviews not the previews.Comment

Re: PS3 or 360
The main question is are you going online with the game? If so 360 wins hands down due to LIVE. No offline then pick the system you like the most as far as other games go.
I also feel "According to the screens" the 360 version is the better looking.
I'm going with the 360 version as I will have The Show for the PS3.Joshua:

Re: PS3 or 360
overall they look very similar. but the 360 has.....
- higher poly crowd models and high resolution crowd textures
- 3d grass in certain gameplay views and most replays, ps3 has none at all. even when both use textures the ps3 version appears to be lower res, there have been some vids showing certain fields where the outfield just looks ugly.
- self shadowing on the players, from all the videos weve seen, appears to only be in the 360 version. this is when you see the bat or the players arm or bat casts shadows on the models, its cool.
- the ps3 videos have shown framerate problems at various spots.. looking at the crowd, closeups on the pitcher.. weve seen none of this in the 360 vids
- the 360 controller has rumble, which is good for offline 1 v 1 matches.
- the ps3 does have the controller movement, but i cant imagine that works better than the analog stick.
- the 360 has a larger install base, more people to play with
- the 360 has xbox live, which is just better for multiplayer games.
you care to actually deny any of that?
the ps3 videos still look very good, if i had a ps3 and no 360 its not like i would be too upset about getting that version. but bottom line, if you have both it looks like the 360 version is the one to get. This could easily change next year when theyve had the ps3 longer, im not saying the 360 is superior. im simply answering his question for THIS YEAR.Last edited by raptor25; 02-17-2007, 03:07 PM.Comment
