I mean come on, in MVP or the Show you just look for a pitch in the red and swing; in 2k6 I always felt like I was fighting not only trying to figure out if the pitch was a strike or not, but if the hitter could do something with it anyway.

Was I really supposed to buy Inside Edge scouting reports for my OWN batters?

You had to toggle to that option while at the plate. If I remember correctly while at the plate you could toggle between various info. stats, hot cold zones, ect..... if you selected hot cold zones the overlay would apear just like the other games you mentioned.

The inside edge stuff was the one GREAT thing about the game. Too bad you didnt know about that option if thats the thing that really killed it for you. It was there.

      The throws were pathetic.
The routes the outfielders took to the ball were also awful. They would run towards the ball, if you slighty touched the analog they would get in for about 10 feet, and if tried to correct it they would just cut back the other way for the a same amount of time and it would just be an inside the park homerun.

Look, I'll put it like this, the War in Iraq had more success and was/is less of a mess than this game was last year...and that's why i'm not getting this years version (or any game for that matter) the first week or two that it's out....not until I hear really good things about it, and the complaints are at a minimum...otherwise, I'll grab MVP for the computer and play that, at least that's been updated over the last couple of years...

No, there were far more pressing things--the usual gripes people always mention. I was just bringing up my own experience.

Thanks for the info, though. I'm really psyched for 2k7.

What killed it for me was the completely stupid AI CPU trading, and the fact that pitchers (through playing 4 frustrating franchise seasons) never got injured. Maybe I had one or two pitchers go down through those seasons with an injury, and the same rare instances went on with the CPU controlled teams as well. I even had injuries all the way to 100 on the slider, I edited pitchers on my team to make them more injury prone, and still rarely ever a pitcher injury. In MVP by EA this was never a proble. Trades and injuries occured more naturally.

In addition, the CPU trading was sooo annoying, every season I played the CPU must have made 30 or more trades up to the trade deadline. Trading players like A-ROD, Bonds, or another stud like they were role players.

I hope this has been fixed because I am a sim freak, and I demand that a sim game play like real baseball on and off the field.

            Anyone else share my frustration?

yeah i remember when the CPU hit a ball to right field when it would have been an easy single but my guy threw him out at first

but i found that amusing-its good for laughs then but shouldnt be in the game, maybe like 1 in a 100 or so

yeah i do bro. although i dont think bonds was in the game. the Mets traded Jose Reyes to the Rockies for some bench player i dont remember but it was pretty bad. also when i play the mets, they had two #5's-David Wright and Tike Redman or something like that. Thats just basics, shouldnt have been a problem in the first place. Also those ugly computer generated snapshots. Looks like that will make a return this year also
