when does wal-mart get their games

hey guys...the only place in my town i could get this would be wal-mart...but do they get games on the release date? i'm thinking it's taked a full week or even a little more sometimes before they get their games, but i'm not sure. i'm trying to figure out if i should wait and get it at wal-mart whenever they get it or to just pre-order it incase i cant drive and go get it that day somehwere else.

    anyone know?

also...anyone know of a place with free shipping for a pre-order? thanks.

I don't know about yours, but the Wal-Mart here gets the games on the release day. Sometimes they even put them out early.

I lived in Ken. for 2 weeks. Your Walmarts are 24/7 right. Maybe I 'll have to fly accross there next week.

If I were you I'd move...I'd pay $120 for this game, even with it's history of bugs, before I would go into Wall-Mart....maybe you could hang out outside the wallmart and get someone to go in a buy it for you, just like you used to do for beer....then you wouldn't have to actually go inside and see the toothless-white trash broad beating her childeren....

hah...it is pretty unreal. if i had any other choice, i'd take it...but sadly, we dont at this time. i know it may not seem like it, but there are normal people that live in kentucky...even normal ones inside wal-mart's in kentucky...although...the steriotypes are definately alive and walking. if your in my wal-mart at any time through the months of april through october, chances are you will see a man in there shirtless...yes...shirtless. apparently walmart does not even subscribe to the same strict clothing codes that 7 11's in daytona beach choose to honor...unreal. but hopefully they have the game on time.

You should try to preorder at EBgames.com . The game ships next monday and you should have it by Turesday if you are willing to do Next day air. That is what I do and always get the game on release.

Hang in there man...it's not really a Kentucky sterotype, I think the Wall-Mart clientele is the same no matter where you are...I'm in Washington state and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if I saw a shirtless guy with a goat walking into Wall-Mart.

the walmart clientelle here are predominantly of mexican descent. and i dont trust the walmarts here mainly because i've seen how the warehouse is run. they are stacks and stacks of boxes filled with product, shoved into any open space. there are dvds fallen on the floor, clothes everywhere. it really is amazing they can find anything in the building.

Some Wal Marts are good with their release dates...More remote ones (in Canada at least) get games at the most random/bizarre times. I remember last year getting a call from Wal Mart on a Wednesday night telling me MLB The Show had come in.

yeah...so it looks like a gamble i guess. i've thought about the over night shipping from eb...but then the game ends up being 70 some dollars...and if wal-mart ends up getting it on that tues, or even wednesday or thursday...i feel like it would be a waste of 10 bucks. we'll see though...not sure what i'll do.

thanks for letting me know that wal-mart is this bad everywhere. i guess that's hopefully (or maybe the opposite). here's to spring training.

I don't man, I don't think it's that bad here. some people have a negative opinion on everything that they don't associate with their everyday life.
