No more updates from now on?

It seems as if the release date is getting shorter and shorter day by day. With the date realistically being Feb.27 now, which is exactly one week from now, i don't see the any of the major sites posting any extended gameplay footage anytime soon such as the PoTD's from IGN. It seems as if they were to show us more gameplay footage, they would've shown it to us by now. Either way, I think I can patiently wait for the game to come out next Tuesday whether an update or demo is out or not.

Yeah I haven't seen much in terms of new footage in a while.

To the best of my knowledge, OS hasn't even received a pre-release copy. Looks like OS will have to purchase a copy of the game like the rest of us and review it that way.

Its probably not just OS that doesnt have a pre-release, i doubt that the other sites do also. It sucks that I have to look at 200 pictures of the new NBA Street with a bunch of videos and then looking at about maybe 50 pictures and a handful of videos for MLB2K7

last week we had an influx of information with on the spot, best buy, 1up's new pictures, and i think there were a couple of other things

then hit the WEEKEND and PRESIDENTS DAY. no information is ever released on those days and i think its just a conincedence

i am thinking we will hear about the demo today, or atleast something else from some one

I'm not ready to jump off a bridge, but this worries me (just a little). A couple of years ago, EA knew it had gold on its hands with MVP 05. And they let people play the heck out of it. They even invited some members of this board to play it and report back to us - and generate tons of hype.

So why, then, a week before release... has nobody received an advanced/playable copy?

While it is frustrating, there is a chance that oversaturation can hurt. I just want the demo, screw the potd. IMO they have done JUST enough to create a great buzz for the release....so much so that alot of people forgot about the ps3 version of the show......not that there is ANY info on that..

I'll be keeping a sharp eye out on GameTrailers. I love their previews in HD. I'd be willing to bet they'll have one up this week.

Re: No more updates from now on?

                      Here's where I'm coming from...

The quality of MLB 2K7 determines if I buy a XBox 360 now, or sometime next fall. I'm on a limited budget, moving to a new place in April, and have very little extra cash. The lack of extended videos and extended "hands on" impressions is pushing me towards The Show on the PS2. And once I spend that 40 buckaroos, there is a good chance I will NOT be able to pick up a 360.

Now don't get me wrong, The Show demo plays great. But 2K7 is the best looking sports game I've ever seen. And I'd like to have a little bit of that action for myself!

Regardless, we'll all know much more this time next week. Didn't one of the mods on this board say Steve was either a) getting a copy the end of last week or b) getting a chance to play the game during a question and answer sessionthis week?

then you are better off waiting for the 360 price drop

Tell me about it. I was certain MS was going to drop the price by now, but it has not. It's killing me!

My wife and I married last October, and we're still getting on our feet. School loans don't help much either!

This is the longest I've ever waited to jump into a console cycle, and it hasn't been easy. Especially because MS dropped the original XBox like a hot potato. I don't know what MS is waiting for, to be honest. I'd buy a 360 tomorrow if I could get a Premium at $299.

go buy the core and then upgrade it when you have the cash.

I'm not too worried about more info. I'm really looking forward to putting a lot of time into this game. We've got a new baby around here, and my gaming time has been substantially reduced, so I'm looking at MLB 2K7 to be something I really enjoy.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
