I'm glad you guys aren't making this game because there would be no creativity or innovation with the camera views.

I love how the camera changes! It makes it feel like a whole new game instead of the same camera angle that baseball games have had for years. Give it a try before you knock it.

I agree that it is a new idea and that it might be cool, but I just wish we had the option to switch to the classic view of mvp or the show if I don't like 2k's camera. I'm still buying it, but I just wish the option was there. What does 2k's College Hoops games have? Like 20 different cameras?

A lack of camera options in any sports game is inexcusable in this day and age.

Couldnt agree more. The NBA2k7 team took cameras to the next level. Why other sports games (this one, mlb07, and madden) dont follow that lead, I have no idea. Sure, I can find a camera that serviceable, but why cant I play using the exact camera that Im really happy with???

When is a game going to finally do the broadcast camera that baseball stadiums have? There is ZERO panning/movement with the camera, and it just pretty much does fixating, zooming, and tracking. It is in one stationary spot... it doesn't rotate along a base line, it doesn't fly out in center field to see a ball, and it doesn't change height.

No game yet has replicated that camera.

Joe, the freaking game hasn't even come out yet. Calm down man. Saying you won't buy the game because of a camera angle when you haven't had it in your hands yet is just nuts.

Agreed. And for what it's worth, I'd bet he won't buy it no matter what. He's big on the SCEA brand and always has been. I just don't know why he felt the need to start a thread like this when we know he'd never buy it in the first place.

I actually am excited for the cameras as they've been described. I hope that they is are good as the drive cam on NBA 2k7 and CHoops. I could'nt go back to playing with a static camera. It just seems more immersive. Now if the camera aren't well implemented, I'll gripe as well. But I really think that it isn't fair to judge the game before it has been released. And all of this "man I want MVP 2007 or The Show by 2k" is plain dumb. If you want MVP, go get 2005 with the new mods. Or go get The Show. No one is making anyone buy this game. I'm gonna say that it'll be great for 2k fans and probably not so much for other series fans. And guess what? It'll be all good. Nobody will die. Peace.

I thought it was getting to be a long time between anal complaint topics. I guess everybody has their pet peeves though. I do too.

I'm not too worried about this. I have plenty of gameplay features to be worried about after last years game.

As long as I can see the ball well when hitting and it doesn't destroy the fielding, then I will be happy. I agree with Briankingsfan. The way Brinkman described them seemed really good, but then again its his job to make everything sound goo. I never really gave the cameras a second thought from the videos, and I think thats a good sign.

I don't get a good sense of the ball jumping off the bat though, I thought it might be either because they switch out to the fielding camera too quickly, but I think its more of an issue with the low quality videos.

The sound of the ball off that bat is what is probably throwing off your perception also. There is no deviation in the sound. Generally you sense a hit by the sound off the bat, you cannot do this in this game.

I just dont like cutaways for the ingame action. For a replay its fine but I have never liked them. Guess I will get used to it.

Watching those IGN PS3 HD vids again the camera looks really cool. I like how it zoom out on a shot to the Outfield.

The interview I read mentioned that there is only the default fielding camera. It mentioned that the camera will fluccuate depending on whether it is a ground ball or fly ball, but the camera will be relatively the same as years past. I agree with Joe, I hate the camera. But I think the game looks great and I am excited to try it out next week. I also believe that the gameplay will be improved a lot from years past.

Ya that is problem I have, you right it looks better and probably plays better but they need to change the camera or give more options, not everybody wants that camera and they don't even have ESPN so stop trying to mimic that.

what crack you smoking, when MVP went to the grave I started buying 2k and MLB, went 2 years straight with that as my test of what to do next on the baseball gaming front. So take this as just my view of the game, not fanboy crap stop assuming and stop acting like this isnt an issue that hasn't been raised before, even by 2k fans. I just expected it to change by now, Its the same since 2k5, you would think they can give you another camera angle, its not that hard.
