Ahh..see I cheated myself out of that night, as I was still a Maddenite back in those days. It wasnt until about a month after the release of 2k5...that I really gave 2k a fair shot...and I have been hooked on it since....In fact I just loaded up the new rosters onto my ps3. I am excited for this game to drop and although it may not be perfect, it should be a damn good game of baseball

i agree. this game is jaw dropping beautiful and if the gameplay is anything like MVP (another Brinkman production) I will be set. only bad thing is that i'll wind up spending $120 on baseball games if The Show for PS3 is anywhere as good as the PS2 demo. oh well...such is life...

I definately can't wait for this game. The sport games I have gotten so far for the 360 have been a big let down besides NBA 2K7 which is the best basketball game of all time.

Im not gonna get this right away though. I'll wait and read some reviews before I go out and drop 60$ on it.

Good idea. With all the hype emcompassing this game,you WILL know pretty quick if it blows darts or not.

It seems to me that everybody is expecting less than perfection on this game. Maybe I am the minority, but for $60 a game and it being the only baseball game on the 360; I expect perfection. If our expectations are lower than the perfection that we deserve, then we will be screwed. Give me a 2k baseball game that was good in the past 4 years. Yeah...that is what I expected.

I want a perfect game. I won't settle for less. Too bad MVP is not BC.

MVP wasn't perfect and this game won't be either. If you expect perfection then you might as well stop thinking about this game because it's just not going to happen. It is an absolutely unreasonable expectation at this point if you value reality to any degree. Would perfection be nice? Yup. Is it going to happen. Nope.

I'm hyped for this game, but its only because the rest of you guys got me that way. Regardless, I wont give in and buy until I hear impressions or try the game myself.

Matt I see your point about wanting a perfect game, but think about all the imperfect stuff we spend money on everyday. When I drop $30 for my wife and I to see a movie, I dont walk out all p***ed off if the movie was a pretty good movie, maybe not the best, but as long as it was prety good. Whn I drop $60 for dinner, all I ask for is a good dinner...it doesnt have to be perfect just very good, and that is the same approach I am taking here. I dont need to have a "Perfect" game...just something that is very good and I feel was a justifiable spenditure of $60.

I agree with you all. Expecting perfection is just setting me up for disappointment. I guess I am still better over the piece of crap baseball games from 2k that I have bought in the past 3 years.

MVP wasn't perfect, but at the time it was the best game out there. That is what I expect from 2k...the best baseball game out there. That is not realistic since they have been "improving this game" for years now.

I remember playing a video baseball game that was a top view of a diamond with dots that were used as the players... I enjoyed the heck out of that game!

Now jump forward an look at whats offered today, I'm so thankful for the progression of the state of the art Baseball games of today...

I don't think it's difficult to just take a step back in time to respect the effort made to get us to this mind-blowing level we are at today!

It's true like most of you I'm STOKED and cant wait......
