Guys - Can we please just calm down? I know everyone is excited, but damn.... Neither game is even out yet!! We don't know if either of them will be any good this year or if both will be the greatest baseball games ever made.

We got the guys who are protecting this game with their life and the guys who are thrashing it endlessly Let's save those debates until after the game releases.

I agree I am sorry for my part lol. I like what I see, so I think I will be happy. I am sure there will be things that bug me. But I am also sure there will be thing that amaze me!

I don't mind people thrashing the game, but can they at least see something good about it.

Man, it's a tough crowd to please on these boards. We haven't even played the game yet. The POTD movies were disected like a dead body on an episode of CSI.

I'm getting the feeling the game may have been talked up too much. Everyone saw the pretty visuals and ran with them. It's kind of like a movie everyone tells you is great, so you go in with great expectations and come out of the theatre thinking that it was okay.

Mr. Wednesday is going to clear his mind and try to enjoy MLB 2K7 when it comes out.

By the way, I've allready preordered MLB 2K and The Show.

TWFlawelss welcomes you to the boards. But your not going to write in the third person narrative any more are you? Although I did find it funny....

I've been saying this all along. This happens year-in, year-out and people always so easily convince themselves that this year is different.

This game will be exactly what I expected it to be, a gorgeous game with decent gameplay but many holes and areas to improve. For some reason everyone thought this was going to be the game to end all others. And those are the people that are going to be severely disappointed in a few days.

It is so easy to see something that looks pretty and base all your expectations on that. This applies in many areas of life (women, anyone?)

For some reason, with games, people don't ever notice the pattern: hype -> more hype -> disappointment because of overhype.

              It never fails.

Thanks for the welcome TWFlawelss. Glad to be here. I really enjoy everyone's opinion on the boards. Glad to see there are others with passion for video game sports.

As far as the 3rd person narrative, I just wanted to lighten up the mood a bit.

I disagree. From the start, Brinkman stated this was a 3 year project. They haven't talked anything up except the graphics. For year one and trying to turn this game around, it looks pretty darn good so far. No grand illusions, just a good game of baseball this year and it looks like that will happen.

                        Great analogy

I can't wait for the damn game to come out so we don't need to read this pointless bickering back and forth.

If I had a nickel for everytime someone said "It looks good, but its inevitable that we will see some problems" I wouldn't be in as much debt as I am in now!

The public are the ones who are building this game up too much not Brinkman or any of the 2K Sports team.

Ok, I guess if you call nitpicking everything about this game, building it up. I've seen very little positive discussion about this game. It makes reading these forums very tough. I think we need a "everything you like about 2k7" thread. It's hard scanning through all of the crap statements and read any positve comments.

Exactly. Thanks meatman. I was refering to the expectations of the gamers. It seems to really have snowballed over the last month or so.

I know it's a 3 year plan. It seems that now since 2K has this attachment to the "MVP legacy" in Brinkman there is going to be major improvements in one game release.

I'm as excited as the next guy. But, I want to give the game a chance without thinking the developers should have done this or that before I even put the game into my 360.

I'll do that after a month or so of playing the game.
