Make sure you take perfectly good note of the tense. He said, "There's no demo..." he didn't say, "There will not be a demo...".

But, chances are looking slim. It's either tonight, tomorrow, or... Saturday? I'm guessing if not tomorrow, then not ever.

There will be a demo eventually... it may not come out before the release, but there will be on nonetheless.

blzer there will be a demo...2k forum adim just said thats still pending approval...which mean its done.
we re still waiting on him to anwser when he thinks its coming out...but i guess thats out of his reach, as its now a m$ and $ony decision on when to realise.

The 1UP blog also confirms a demo. It states that the development team was putting the finishing touches on the demo (article was posted the 7th of February).

My guess is that the development team was targeting the week of Feb 26th for the demo (back in January), but they didn't plan on the game being released a week early. Thus the demo and full retail game will be released the same week.

the demo is likely going to be released at the same time or after the game comes out. You have to realize that to the people making these decisions, any time between now and the start of the season is acceptable for getting the demo out. They really couldn't care less about the people who just can't wait to play it and are already buying it. It isn't like there are going to be any other baseball games for the 360 this year, either, so timeliness isn't as much a factor as some of you have been thinking.

What? You guys do know this demo has to pass certification, right?! It's in Microsofts hands now, TakeTwo has no say in when the demo gets released.

The retail copy and demo were most likely submitted to Microsoft in close proximity (retail copy was probably submitted first). MLB 2k7 went gold Yesterday/Today. The demo shouldn't be too far behind the retail copy in the certification process (unless there were problems).

Of course, this is all speculation, but 2k's development cycle seems to be in line with some of the other 360 developers out there.
