Will it look good in 480p?

Dont know if there is a thread about this or not so sry if this has been discussed. Anyway i think i am one of many that has an older tv and obviously the best quality i can get is 480p. I have played many games on the 360 and it seems the 2k games like NBA 2k7, College hoops 2k7 look horrid on 480p compared to 720p, the Anti aliasing was so bad it mad it unplayable for me. Now i understand that they want to make games in HD and support people that have 720p and 1080i tv's, it just seems that 2k is the only games that i have played were it was a very VERY noticable difference between resolutions. I hope since this was developed by Kush that this wont fall in that same problem, any one else going through that?

It obviously won't look as good but it will be close to the pq you are seing on the vids you downloaded. I know if those vids were in hd and on my TV they would bkow my mind. When they zoom in on the grass and dirt you can smell it.
THis game will be better lookig than any other 2k game to date.

the game will still look amazing, however you will likely see jaggies around text the lighting effects wont be as impressive...but the graphics stay the same

Yeah, basically what the other people said.
I don't have an hdtv, but I do have the vga cables. Obviously, you must have some sort of computer monitor if you're typing in this forum, so I highly suggest that if you are worried about the visual difference. I've been so happy with the VGA cables, so I recommend them if you wan't an hd experience without having to shell out the dough

            True true
I hadn't really thought of that
            my bad
But still, it's a good, cheap alternative to buying an hdtv

Well here is the problem i have a pretty old sony trinitron monitor, therefore does not have direct Vga input and i have to use a converter to switch to the different pins. When i used them i notice that the resolution was nice but the color was way off, probably due to the converter. Side note i dont have cables for sound since i have the old fasion 1/8 input. Anyway it seems using the computer is out of the question. The Anti (Jaggies) were SO bad on 2k games, not so much other company games, obviously there is a difference but hoping in will not be as bad as the NBA 2k7.

I feel your pain. I still game on my 36' Sony Wega (non-HD), and 2k games are by far the worst. I can barely read the text in College Hoops, and the jaggies make seem like I am playing a regular Xbox game. I really hope the same thing is not going to happen with baseball.

                All other games look fine.

edit - I am seriously considering getting that Samsung 50' DLP for $1400 at Circuit City this weekend. I just need someone to take that heavy Wega (228lbs) out of my house.

That's the same TV I use and I have the same problem with NBA 2k7. It helped me a bit to turn down the sharpness setting but the text is still a little difficult to read.

27' Samsung HDTV @ Best Buy for $500.00. I bought it, downloaded College Hoops 2k7 demo and it was beautiful. Strongly encourage you to get an hdtv, this baseball game is going to be something special.
