    Auto, Manual, or Assist fielding?

Anyone k ow if the game will have auto or at least assisted fielding where the cpu makes the play, but the user can control the throw? I stink at fielding and was hoping for an option like in MVP...where I can just choose the throw the ball.

    Anyone know?

dont know... I seem to remember assisted and manual last year but it wasnt what I was looking for because even in assisted you had to do some running down in the outfield?? All I wanted to do was have the cpu field it and me throw it... (is that assisted? or auto? lol)

"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D.

Well, I consider that assisted. If the cpu runs to the ball and fields it and then you have the option to control the throwing, that is assisted. You could use the controller to threow it, or if you did nothing, the cpu would throw it for you.

Auto would be if the fielder (cpu) runs to the ball, fields it, and throws it on his own. You would have no ability to throw...all controlled by fielder (cpu).

That's how they implemented it in MVP and what I have grown used to anyway...

i like the challenge of fielding and throwing it myself...one of the good things (at least i thought) about 2k6 was that it was challenging to field the ball. to me, in The Show, its too easy, so maybe this year's iteration of MLB 2k will strike a happy medium between the two.

Im lazy and old. I think I played maybe 10 games on 2k6 before I just got fed up with the fielding.. I guess this year might have to swallow my pride and live through some clunkers if theres no true "assisted" fielding.

there was no assisted in 2k6 for the 360 only smart throw and auto-reselect fielder.

Options options options. When will they learn to let us decide how we want to play???

                What about 2k7?

I actually want to see fielding like MVP 03.

I know people hated it, but I loved that the CPU controlled diving. I prefer the CPU handling fielding because it seems to be more ratings based.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
