From an impartial Cubs fan of course.lol
Yep, I'd be very hard pressed to put him ahead of any of those other guys, but I think you're right - he's earned a 92.

My dilemma is that I don't trust myself to edit Cubs - I'm way too generous, I'd like to eventually see what others change, if anything, in his ratings.

You do realize that Helton had a viral infection that affected him most of last year? I'll agree that he'll never put up the power numbers from a few years ago, but the guy can still rake. I think he'll hit a lot of doubles this year, and he's not too shabby with the glove, either.

His power has absolutely vanished the last 2 season's. His slugging was near the .700 mark in his great years! Last year it was in the .400's. He's not even close to the player he was in 2000 & 2001.

The AL MVP, I didnt mind all of the people ahead of him except for Nomar. Morneau has only had one great year so far. Nomar hasnt done jack in since like 2003.

key word: just signed. the copy IGN has would reflect their jan 2nd cutoff date for changes.

and yeah, thome should be in there. really, he/ortiz/hafner/thomas should all be left out, but if tohse 3 are he should be.

Ortiz and Hafner both DH a lot more often than they play 1B is the reason he thinks they, and Frank Thomas, should be left out.

                  Pujols rated a 100?

HOLY ****!!! Just saw that Morneau was 12th. Unbelievable... By the way, how horrible are Second Basemen in this day and age?

Pujols is going to be amazing, look at those power and contact numbers, I'm goin for the all time HR record in my first season, with his power and contact numbers up in the 90's I think he can hit 506 to break Aarons HR record in year one, 3 per game, its attainable!!!

Good point. I stand corrected. its been a long day

as far as DH thought Ortiz and Hafner should be 1 and 2 respectivly.

Agree with you 100% there, Thome and Thomas are high on that list as well but Ortiz and Hafner are definitely 1 and 2.

Morneau at 12 seems a little low. However I think they really messed up his ratings. He should have a much higher clutch rating. The dude's hitting in "clutch" situations was one of the determining factors in him winning the MVP. I also think his power numbers should have been a little higher.

Gotta appreciate the respect the Phillies are getting. Utley #1, Howard #3, JRoll #6. Now Wes Helms needs a little love.
