It's kind of sad isn't it?

I LOVED baseball card collecting when I was a kid. I still have all my cards in their boxes all sealed up away in my attic. Hopefully there are some hidden gems I can make a mint when I retire

I hope that you don't have silverfish problems. They are insects which eat paper. My dad has a huge collection. Half of it is in his garage, and some of those bugs got into some boxes and eat little bits of the cards off. If they are not in sleeves or hardcases you should but them in that or a binder with those collecting sleeves.

          Just friendly advice.

Tell us more about this code? If this is the code for Mickey Mantle and we can put him into our season well I'm going to be very happy! Great News!

They did offer the Mick in MVP 05' but I didn't think that it was that good of a likeness...

You say there's 5 different codes, did they mention the names of the players the codes represent?

              inquiring minds want to know...

Now I know I'm getting old.

The rookie cards I've got laying around are guys like Don Mattingly, Walter Payton, Roberto Clemente, Dave Winfield, Ken Griffey Jr, Barry Bonds etc... Some of them I have about 5-6 of their rookie cards. I bought a ton of cards when I was younger, but some of them I got from my father.

The cards are still at my parent's house in my closet. I never moved them to my house. I know I have a lot of money in my cards (probably 5 figures), but I'll never sell them. Just keep passing them along to my kids and reliving the memories.

You think your old? How does two Rookie 1951 Mickey Mantle Topps sound, yes they used to belong to me... I had a good size box full of cards from the early 50's to the late 60's.. I said had, it's a bad story and I'm heartbroken about what happened..It involves a sibling and greed...
