    psp version?

Has anyone seen any info on the psp version? Is it overhauled as well? I am getting the show as of right now for the psp and of course this for the 360. I figure probably not because they are really focusing on next -gen. Too bad if that is the case.

There has actually been a preview of it, unlike the PSP version of the Show (all the supposed PSP previews are actually a combined PS2-PSP preview, entirely focused on the PS2 version) One new thing is apparently it has minor leagues.

Visual Concepts is bringing the popular baseball game to the PSP, and we've got a first look.

I'll probably be getting it, because of the lack of interest Sony has shown in the PSP (and that the Show 07 for it seems to be merely nothing but 06 with updated rosters)

YOU have NO CLUE what YOU are talking about. i will garuntee you that YOU will be disgusted by mlb 2k7 on the psp.

do YOU know what work sony has the for mlb the show on the psp? why dont YOU read the OS reviews buddy.

Why dont YOU read every other review for mlb the show on the psp and how they say it is the best sports baseball game ever on a handheld. i think and many other people and reviewrs think its better than the ps2 version. YOU cleary never played it.

in the future dont pull things out of your ***.

in fact go ahead and purchase mlb 2k7 on the psp , i know for a fact it is the same game as 2k6 with a januray 2nd roster update.

i also garuntee players will still have missing helmuts, same sloppy graphics as 2k6 and just unexcusebale sound detail.

anyways i will enjoy mlb 07 the show on the psp while you enjoy your horrid mlb 2k7 on the psp.

          Re: psp version?

Hrrrrmph. Last years version of the Show was simply a gutted port of the PS2 version (no franchise, no roster editing, no umpires, etc, etc, etc). As near as I can tell, all they are doing this year is adding online play. Which is nice if you have broadband, but I don't. The other things missing from last year are still missing.

Yeah, maybe it was the best handheld baseball game last year, but compared to what, exactly? GBA games?

OTOH, at least this year 2K is adding other stuff to their game. Read the preview I posted a link to.

Maybe it won't be as good as the Show. But at least they are trying to make the game better, unlike Sony (who like I said, has basically abandoned the PSP).

so you should get the game that's not as good because the other company has stopped trying(even though their game is the better game)?

Why get the inferior product just to spite a company?

              Re: psp version?

Because if you keep buying the same game every year, you'll just encourage the company to keep doing nothing. And like I said, Sony puts as little effort into the PSP efforts as possible. They already farm out the vast majority of their PSP games out to 3rd party developers as it is.

Plus, since I am not an arcade baseball fan, I'm not sure the Show necessarily is the better game. The one from 2K has deeper franchise option (well, the PSP version of the show doesn't even have a franchise mode), especially this year with the minor league teams. Granted, if it plays horribly, it's largely a moot point, but at the same time, whats the point of a baseball game that plays great, but has no depth (like the PSP version of the Show?)

MLB 06 for the PSP is the best baseball game I've ever played. I hope they've improved 07. If they have, I'll be buying it for sure.
